Subject : Intoducing New Baby to 16 month old?
I'm due in 2 days to have baby no2 and we've got a nearly 16 month old. Any top tips for introducing the new baby to lo?
We've showed Carrick pictures of himself as a baby and we keep meantioning him being a big bother soon not that he seems to understand or take any notice!
Any advise will be more than welcome

My mum told me sis when I was born and she first saw me, that if I grip her finger it means I know she's my big sister and is pleased to meet me cos I love her very much. Obviously babies automatically grip when you place your finger in their palms so it was a safe bet!
My sis was a lot older though and she still says to this day she was so scared I wouldn't grip her finger

im due in late nov early dec and ella is now 16 months, i was worried she didnt have a clue what was going on, i keep talking to her about it and we got her a dolly which she cuddles and we treat very carefully so she knows its expected to be gentle to babies, but i thought up untill today that she didnt really understand, but this morning bump gave a big kick and i said oh your baby sister is up, and she came over and kissed my bump! i gave a hage hug to her and made a big fuss, and now she wants to kiss "babby" all the time, so i think at 16 months they do have a grasp on whats going on more than you realise.
makes me think if i had bean now she would accept her just fine.
