Subject : A bit concerned
Hi!
I'm just over 6 weeks pregnant, and I've been getting sharp pains low in my abdomen all day - but (sorry if it's TMI) if I pass wind it stops. Is this just likely to be trapped wind, or could it be something else?
I don't have an appointment with my midwife til friday, and it's unlikely I will be able to get an appointment at the surgery before then!
Reassurance would be lovely .....
Thanks,
Tina

Hi,
I had something like this back 2 weeks ago - I found abit of gaviscon helped and only got after eating. But the aches and pains are normal as there is alot of stuff happening down there. I know I will say don't worry - if the pain is persitent and sharp or accompanied by bleeding then get in touch with someone asap. xx

Hi,
As taffygirl says really, probably is just wind - perhaps try peppermint tea? Otherwise if the pains do persist then maybe try NHS Direct, Im sure all is fine though. I have had lots of aches and pains, some similar to what you are describing and so far so good...
