Subject : weekly update w/c 1st September
Hi everyone
On my goodness, its already september! Where did the summer go!
I think the mainsaty of this weeks update for me will be exhaustion, exhaustion, exhaustion!
i am really feeling it at the moment, what with difficulty sleeping and then trudging around all day at work! I am on my feet most of the day and really noticing them swell up as the day goes on. My boss initailly said i could stay in the office and do reasonably light duties and paperwork, but that has gone out the window with staff shortages and annual leave.
Oh well its my last week at work this week (YIPEE!!!!) and I will be on four weeks annual leave before my maternity leave kick in at 36 weeks.
All is quiet on the appointment front this week. I am also fairly well organised at home as well, have got the crib up from my parents, that had all been cleaned and i have ordered a new mattress. I will probably start getting a few things in a suitcase towards the end of the week, just in case.
The pine wardrobe we had made for the baby's room came on friday, it fits just perfectly and looks great. ther is just a nice smell of new wood in the room now. I have hung up a few bits and the room really looks lovely, keep meaning to take some photos, maybe gat around to doing it next week when i'm off.
my son starts school on thursday, so also want to concentrate on him for a bit and make sure he gats settled in over the next few weeks before baby comes. He looks great in his new uniform, i cant believe that it is that time already, only seems like yesterday i had him!
Anyway, enough rambling on from me, hope everyone has good weeks.
Good luck to anyone else with little (or bigger) ones off to school

Hey ladies!!!
Well, my update is going to be a good one, work on the nursery has began (cant wait to post some piccies on Facebook)! I am really excited and DH is working sooo hard to get it done asap.... my bedroom is overloaded with baby stuff - i have brought a little bit TOO much and discovered i actually have the WHOLE set of co-ordinating bits for the nursery!! from socks to lampshades!!! I had a good weekend because I actually found bits that i'd brought at 5 weeks - which I had since forgotton about so it was like a little christmas for me!!
I cant believe its September! eeeek!!! Ive posted another message questioning my MAT leave? little worried that im leaving it too late??? because whenever some one asks me I tell them, and then i get the - like i should be finishing a whole lot earlier!!
We still cant find ONE name! boy or girl - Ive been through about 7 books so far - its too hard!... I really did think i had a blue bump but now im swaying and pretty much havent got a clue! But either way will be pleased as punch!!
But all in all - everything is FAB!! xxxxx

Hello yummy mummy’s and beautiful bumps.
I’m 30 weeks this Friday, yay; it feels like such a milestone!
Well, I’ve not been feeling that great this past week. I was at the physio on Thursday and have been diagnosed with SPD so have been told to take it easy, which is a bit hard as I’m quite an independent person. DH has to keep reminding me to stop doing certain things and I have to remind myself that I shouldn’t be moving in a certain way. I’m feeling exhausted because I’m not sleeping due to the pain so I’m thinking of taking the rest of this week off sick just so I can get some rest!
I haven’t got any appointments this week but I’ve got my 30 week mw appointment next week. I’ve got a scan on the 1st October to check the position of the placenta so I’m really looking forward to seeing lo again!
We’ve bought everything we need now, I just need to get my stuff for my hospital bag and pack that ready. I think that packing my hospital bag will make it feel like the birth is just around the corner and that’s a little scary, but very exciting!
My parentcraft classes were supposed to start tonight but the mw told me this morning at aquanatal that 9 mw’s have called in sick, therefore it has to be cancelled this week so we’ll be starting those next week instead. I’m actually quite looking forward to going!
Lainer - Good luck for your son’s first day at school, I can imagine there’ll be a few tears at the school gate.
**Em** - I can’t wait to see your nursery pics
Good luck to anyone else who’s lo’s start school this week xxx

Hey girls!!! 67 days to go, approaching 31 wks on Thurs and now down to fortnightly app's with mw till 36 wks
Hope your all ok? I'm not too bad, apparently I look very well and 'blooming' starting to feel tired though, not sleeping so good some nights with cramps and needing to wee I have horrendous siatica, it's so painful and my hips ache if I lie on one side for too long - I ache underneath as well. Need to experiment with support in bed, tried the extra pillows under bump and btwn my knee's and poor hubby spent the night clutching his side of the mattress!!
Nursery is nearly done. Need to take some photos's and get washing clothes to put away!!! I have most things for my bags, need to wash the nighties I got for my stay and get a few more bits - Peacocks and Primark are very reasonable for cheap nighties if anyone is still looking.
This weekend just gone we went for a 4D scan with babypremier and it was fab!! Still don't know the sex, so we only got facial images but it was ace to 'meet' our baby. The printer had broken so we didn't get any paper copies of the photos and instead they gave us a 15 min dvd and cd with 37 images worth £50 for free It was lovely to count 10 fingers, 2 eyes, 2 ears etc
Bit of a landmark reached as well, we stayed with my parents and I'm not going to see my dad or my sister now till the baby comes, my mum is coming to visit at the end of Sept and help me do a 'deep clean' of the house My mums sister came round whilst we were there and we won't see her now till xmas, very weird to think the next time we see these people we'll be parents
Look forward to reading other updates, take care xxx

Hello ladies
Froggy is happy and jumping as usual but I'm practically hysterical on a daily basis.
Eldest son got his car back last Sunday and crashed it again on Tues (into the bricks for our conservatory). Left him a list of 3 (yes a whole 3) jobs to do today and he managed just 1.
Nursery gave Tom birthday cake last Wed when he has an allergy to eggs and so spent 2 nights coughing for Britain and then today they gave him pancakes aaarrrrrggghhhhhhhhhhh.
No appts for us this week-just sorting annual leave out so I can cut to 3 days a week from now. Boss keeps saying I should take care of myself but keeps throwing new jobs at me- huh how does that work !
Piles and constipation are a joy - now resorting to fibregel.

Hi all
Not much to report this wk - except I managed to dehydrate myself yesterday and had about a 2 hr spell where I felt absolutely awful before I realised I hadn't really drunk any fluids all day. Downed 2 large glasses of water and was pleasantly surprised to start feeling back to myself within 30 mins!! **mental note - drink plenty!!** lol
Only other things happening this week are the girls new bunk beds arrive today and my youngest daughter turns 7 on Thursday!! Both girls will prob be starting school in a cpl of weeks as the bloody forms have only just arrived for application to the school!! Oh well, not long now......YAY!!!!!
Take care all, hope u all have a good wk!
Mandi xx

Had yet again another scan yesterday babies both fine measuring 30+2 so same size which is obviously very good. Had look around mat unit as I had my son in a different hospital. it all seemed fine and I will get to have my own room too. Have scans every two weeks until the end of the month, at my last scan she will check me to see how things are they may possibly get me in at 36 weeks, due to the fact that my son arrived so quickly and the fact that we live over an hour from the hospital. Hopefully though if the babies stay in the same position baby a head down baby b breach I will be able to go for a vaginal birth. Just want them to stay where they are as long as possible so they then wont need to stay in SCBU. They kick so much and I am sure I sure the outline of a baby turning over this morning. Definately see elbows and legs and they are sort of lying facing each other so obviously one moves so does the other. Not really sleeping and hubby doing heaps, I feel so guilty. Ma and Pa coming up the end of the month to help out. Family live 12 hours away, we in the Highlands. Got everything tho. hubby ordered mattress yest and furniture arriving next week. Need to get a bigger car but havent really got the energy to do that at moment, so will just make do. Luke will have to stay with someone when we bring the boys home. Did have white blood cells showing in urine but tablets seems to have cleared that, apparently due to size bladder does not empty properly and had bloods and anti d last Tues. Anyway good luck ladies, like doing this weekly update.
29+3 babies 30+3 and mummy to Luke 1 and 3 weeks.

Hi Everyone,
Had last week off and made another trip to Kiddicare in P'boro (takes us about 2 hours in the car so this will be the last trip we make). Well worth it though as although you can order online, some of their offers are instore only. Got the last few bits. After much debate we bought a cot for our room (there's a cot bed in the nursery for when he goes into his own room but when we weighed up the cost/use we'll get etc we decided against a crib for our room and went with the cot). Bought a travel cot for downstairs as this will come in handy later. Picked up a bath support, a room thermometer and some bedding too. Oh, and a bouncy chair and the footmuff for our car seat. Think that's it. I just need to start on my hospital bag contents now. . . . .
Finding it hard to get going again at work after a week off and feeling quite tired. Typically, there's more to do than usual as everyone's trying to cram stuff in before I leave. I won't finish until 14th October (36 and a bit weeks) but will definitely be ready by the time this comes around.
No appointments this week but I've phoned and made an appointment to look around the Delivery Suite (week before I finish work) and sent off the form for ' Active Birth Workshop' a one-off antenatal session which I can attend around the same time.
Still suffering with the dreaded heartburn and continue taking Gaviscon for this. Discovered ice cold Nesquik milkshake helps (has to be banana) so been having one of those most evenings. Suffering with swollen feet by the end of the day too so glad to put them up at night.
LO is very active and seems to object to anything being placed on the bump. At night if I put the remote on it, he tries to kick it off. Same if I sit with my arm resting on there. Territorial little devil.
Starting to get excited. Cannot believe how quickly time flies. Watched our 4-D Scan DVD again on Sunday night, can't believe that little chap will soon be here.
Hope everyone is well and that you all have a good week.
Julie x
