Subject : Anyone else's OH scared about ttc?

my OH is really worried about ttc.

I love him to bits but he's one of these guys who has to be great at everything he chooses to do.

Wheen we first decided to ttc he really didn't want anyone to know - incase it didn't happen - kind of like it would jinx us if we told everyone - but now he wants us to have a LO so much and he's so excited about it he seems to have told everyone he comes in contact with about it!

His Mom & Dad were round this evening whilst 2 of his friends/work colleagues were here too and I've even listened to him sit & tell his Mom how much he wants us to have a LO next year.
His friends have realy god jobs and have done well for people our age but they are still not v. grown up yet - they would still choose a night out on the lash rather than a night in with a partner & LO!

Anyway - he's so worried now that they all know how much he wants this - and he always gets what he wants - that if we don't get pg and it's because of his swimmers - then he'll be a failiure!

Not sure what anyone can answer with really - just felt like I needed to tell someone x x x

hi princess i can understand where he's coming from a wee bit. We havent really told anyone we are ttc apart from i had to tell my best friend as i just felt i needed someone to have girlie chats with about it. However i can totally understand it can cause some stress as even though i've only told her i just want to be pg even quicker so i can tell her.

its one of these things that you feel like once you have said it you cant take it back (hope that makes sense) because even though yes you can decide to stop ttc and wait a while everone knows you were ttc.

that was such a ramble but hope at least you know your not the only ones! My OH just keeps saying i wish we could just hurry up and have lo (in nicest possible way) - men are so impatient!lol! and yes there will be a bit of "male pride" about it as well!

wishing you loads of baby dust xxx

My hubby is!

At first he was worried as we were living overseas, then we came back and neither of us had jobs.

Now we both have jobs and he's a lot happier about things now. He's been concentrating on being a good husband (his words) but I think 2009 would see him trying to be a good father as well :-)
