Subject : What prams are you all getting?

Just wondered what everyone is looking at pram-wise. I want to look at the mamas and papas 8-in-1 combination before I decide for sure, but looking at getting either that or the Le Bruss Premier Lift.

i know there is so much choice i didnt realise how hard choosing a pram would be!
we have opted for the Silver Cross freeway with Linear chassis (sounds rather posh doesnt it ha ha)
its a travel system so can take a car seat which is called the Silver cross ventura and fits ontop of the chassis once you take the main body of the pram off, so easy for shopping around town etc.
the reason i went for this pram was that you can have baby facing you or way from you in pushchair mode as some that i looked at once they had got to a certain age you always had to have them facing away and i didnt like that idea.
its comes with swivable, lockable wheels too and have pushed it around the baby section of john lewis quite a few times, it feel nice and light!!!

Hi rai27
Sorry just jumping from nov forum but just thought i would say we also wanted that silvercross but when we looked at it it is very big when folded and you have to take the pram part of the chassis to put in car-which is fine if you have big car but we don't. I liked the silvercross for same reason as you -it can face both ways, anyway after looking a bit more we have brought the Mamas and papas pilko switch, this also face both ways but it is smaller to fold etc-car seat also fits just on chassis if thats all you want to use. Anyway just thought i would say as i can't wait to start using our pram-the silver cross was lovely too though!

We were kindly given a mamas and papas pliko pushchair but have decided we want a new travel system instead.

I remember when I had SBJr I had a folding flat pushchair that did all fancy stuff but it was huge and awkward getting into the car etc.

This time I think we'll probably go for the Graco Mosaic One which is exclusive to Mothercare website apparently. My sis had a Graco with her two and it was fab

Need to go and have a proper look though.

hi. im thinking of getting the silvercross freeway in pistasio as well as some of you other ladies, bit concerned now as we only have a citroen saxo, and im worried it wont fit in the boot now! i love the pram tho, can anyone suggest a pram and pushchair in one front and rear facing, with one handle-bar to push that will fit in my car??? xx

SB - we've bought the Graco Mosaic travel system (in City) from Mothercare and I love it - it was only £189!. We looked at so many but they were either too big & bulky or too expensive. The thing that drew us to this one was that it was nice & dinky, can go up/down with one hand and will last our lo for ages. We had a right good play with it in the shop but now that we have it dh won't let me take it out the box - grrr, I wanted to push it around with a teddy bear in LOL!

I think we're getting a mountain buggy as we have 2 dogs so we really need something that is good off road. Now we're just arguing about the colour, I want red and he wants black- we are also having exactly the same argument about living room curtains at the moment! xx

errrr well this all depends on if we can fix our old travel system from our girlies & if we can fit an isofix seat onto the chasis (we are waiting for britax to contact us to let us know)

otherwise we have been looking at the quinny range to be used with a maxi cosi car seat as the new car we are getting will have isofix points & with the school run to do twice a day I feel it will make my life a lot easier!

Sorry i'm gatecrashing from Dec forum - Message for Lucyloo... I had the Quinny Buzz for my first lo, but it only lasted for 9 months... Once lo got a bit bigger the straps didn't do up around him any longer and he always looked uncomfortable...

Toys R Us took it back and gave me a full refund as they had told me it would last until lo was at least 3 or 4 years!!!

I hope you don't mind me telling you but I thought it may help with your decision...

Sara x
