Why don't you ring nhs direct and see what they recommend? I would think possibly if it is only a small amount it could wait until tomorrow but I am no expert as this is my 1st!!

Im 8 +4!!! It was reddy brown, not bright red. Had decision made for me as hubby got called out so am now going to visit Dr in the morn. Feel so stupid, cant stop crying, figure that if anything is wrong it was meant to be and i cant do anything now anyway but ive never had this before. Rang NHS direct who basically said i could either go to A and E who wouldnt be able to do much at this time of night or wait til the morn and visit dr.

Thank you for your replies ladies xxxx

Dont know if this will make you feel better but i've had several bouts of bleeding over the last three weeks or so and its almost always bright red. Thought I was m/c and went to a&e who were rubbish, anyway had a scan at the EPU and bean was fine.

In the end I was told I had a urine infection that makes you bleed and the EPU nurse also said I could just have a sensitive cervix and so banned me and hubby from sex (much to hubby's disappointment).

Try not to panic hunny, i'm still bleeding on and off now but am trying to keep the mind set of not to panic until there is something to panic about ! Plus the EPU nurse said a m/c is usually characterised by large amounts of bleeding, ie falling into the water of the loo, with large clots about the size of a plum and bad pain in the tummy. Normal AF type pains is more likly your ever expandin uterus.

Hope this helps, let us know.
