hi ladies

feeling a bit down so thought i would post on here, after a rubbish few days.

i'm 5 weeks pregnant, on monday night i started having some red bleeding so went to A&E,
had an internal examination which i was told than my cervix was closed, with a little bit of bllod coming out, which could mean, either nothing at all, or that i had had a miscarriage, or was starting to miscarry, eventually i was sent home awaiting hcg test results, and was told it they were over 1000 i would have a scan, to confirm one way or the other.

the result came back at 1600, so today i had a scan, which at i was told that there were signs of a pregnancy, but nothing conclusive to say one way or the other, i had my blood taken again, and was sent home waiting for the results.

just got them now and they are 4300, got to wait for a doctor to look at reults as since the scan didn't confirm anything, they have said that either it is too early to see anything on the scan or it could be an eptopic pregnancy.

has anyone else been though anything like this?

Hi.

I'm sorry I can't offer any advise as I've not experienced anything like this myself, but I just really wanted to wish you luck. It sounds as though you've had a rough few days. I hope everything is ok and that you and your baby are both well. Let us know how you get on.

thought i'd give you a update,

i got a call back from the doctor last night, basically they think that one of 2 things is happening:

1) either the bean is too small to show up on a scan (although they said that this is unlikely due to the high hormone levels that i have)

2) i am having an eptopic pregnancy

the doctor sounder really concerned about if i had any strong stabbing pains, or back ache - and it i had any last night i should go straight to the hospital.

got to go back today and have a vaginal scan, so that they can see exactly where the bean is, oh and my blood needs to be taken again on saturday - to check that it has continued to double.

will keep you updated - your kind words have been really appreciated.

hi

thought i would give you an update,

my scan last friday showed up nothing, so had to wait for today for another scan.

and the result was that everything is normal, we were even lucky enough to see a heartbeat!!

feel so lucky to have seen our little bean at such an early stage!!

thank you all for your kind words they really helped.

they said basically that the bleeding was most probably caused by me stretching too much and that i need to take it easy.

the reason why they couldn't see anything last week was just because it was too early.

i'm so excited that everything is ok, my due date from the online calculators is 2nd May,

when are you due?
