When reading posts onhow much your babiesare eating i was shocked. Daisy has been on solids for 2 1/2 months she is 61/2 months now. If she eats a third of a jar she has done well or two cubes! She on 3 bottles and three to four "meals" i cant reduce her milk as i struggle to get her to drink it. i read that some of your babies have 2 jars a meal wow , is there any one else out there whose babies dont eat much. I sometimes give her a snack of half a rusk softened in milk and she will eat that she quite fussy really but even her fav foods she will clam up after so much maybee she just has a small tummy, i have to give her food and milk feeds seperate as she cant manage both together.

How much food

I'm sure your Daisy and my Charlotte are somehow twins.

She is 7 and half months and at a good meal will eat 2 cubes of food (AK food trays) and a fruit pot but will not drink her juice/water at all!
Or I give her half a 200g jar of baby food plus pudding. She does not seem interested in food and is only little (nearly 15lb about 2 weeks ago). Hv keeps telling me to feed her more but she wont eat it! She never wants a snack and does not eat very much porridge for brekkie. She's better with her milk now but only just.

Another thing I've noticed with Charlotte is that after her meal I will have my food, say a sandwich and if she's on the sofa with me she'll try to eat it so I finger feed her the food and then try to get her to feed a little to herself upon which she loses interest completely and will drop the food or smudge it somewhere.

How much food

Hello,

Aiden is nearly 28 weeks and weighs about 20lb-ish but he doesn't eat that much either. He's just not that interested in solids yet but I'm not too worried as he's obviously putting on weight.

He has one AK cube per meal, with a Petit Filous or equivalent amount of fruit puree after his lunch and a little bit of water. I was also surprised that some of the babies around his age can manage three cubes ... he gets bored towards the end of one cube's worth! He has about 24 - 30 fl oz of formula a day aswell. I haven't tried him with finger foods yet, I'm waiting until he sits up a bit better.

oh ok so now i feel better!!! Daisy seems to get bored too! I will carry on im sure she would eat more if she was hungry. ccbmommy ihate health visitors ihad an issue with mine last week when i said she was struggling to drink milk and didnt seem much interested in food. She said i was doing wrong by offering her a jar if she wouldnt at something id made!! How can you force a baby to eat something they dont like.I believe meal times should be relaxed as poss so if you are making charlotteeat she will get upset and may get a real phobia about eating. i hate hate hate health visitors. I have just started giving finger foods but only do it when im not alone!!!! But those organix carrot stick things are brill im so not scared of them.
