Lily will be 11 months so was thinking about getting her a trike, one of the ones with the parents handle on the back that can be taken off when she is older. I'm trying to not got too mad too because her 1st birthday will only be a month after.
My mum is only getting her a small pressie for her birthday and then is gonna buy her a main pressie in the summer instead. She is worried she is gonna get too much in one go then nothing else for the year!

I love Christmas, our 2 are the first children in the family since my cousins were little (they're 16 & 18 now so not little anymore!!) and it's really brought the magic back. Joe was 2 and a half last Christmas (Evie was still a bumpy!) and he was so excited putting the milk and carrot out for Rudolph along with Santa's whisky and mince pie lol! His face when he saw all his pressies on Christmas morning was an absolute picture-so cute! Think we're getting him a big boys bike this year, no idea what to get for Evie, she'll be nearly 10 months then.

Gabe will be nearly 8 months by then. I haven't thought about it really - I'm more excited about when he'll be 2 or 3 and understand a bit better! At 8 months I will probably be trying to stop him pulling the lights down or eat the christmas tree lol!

Well I was really looking forward to it until hubby pointed something out......

lo was 3 months last xmas so wasn't really interested in much apart from xmas lights. This year he'll be 15months and I am now dreading the xmas tree going up as I just know he's going to have it over within minutes of its erection!!! He's cruising around and he always wants that one thing he's not supposed to have!!

I am really looking forward to the pressies and snow (hopefully), can't wait to go outside and catch snow with him and do the snow fairy thing. and can't wait for trip to see santa, and leaving the carrots and mince pie out.

....but oh god the xmas tree!! we have a massive 7ft one and it covers the whole bay window of lounge....i can just envisage it falling right ontop of him!!
arrrgghh!!

My youngest, Alex, was 9 1/2 months last year but we had just moved to Holland so his 1st Xmas wasn't really up to much.......this yr we're back in the UK and will have family around this time as well as new baby Happy

I love Xmas Happy

Ollie will be 19months so will know everything that goes on by then (i think)
we cant have the tree in the lounge as theres no room, so it wont be a problem for him pulling it over (And as we rarely use the dining room were considering not even putting it up...)

I've bought a couple of his pressies - and already told the inlaws/grandparents that they have a budget of £20 for him and no more (And boy were they shocked when i said anything more would be a waste and go straight into the bin!)
We've told them what we want - money to help pay towards a nintendo Wii, so think we've got everything covered.

We'll be doing the same as last year - I'll be cooking for 14 again, but they will all each bring a part of the meal with them (I'm hoping MIL doesnt bring one of her awful fudge cakes again, will have to tread carefully there...) and then after dinner we'll open pressies.

But I am so looking forward to it Happy It will only be about 3 months till LO is born at xmas Happy Happy Happy Happy Happy Happy Happy

Bring on the festive season, and twinkly lights and snow, and the general good feeling from everyone.

xxx

I'm looking forward to a better Christmas this year - Ellen was 10wks last Christmas but was ill on Christmas day, ended up in out of hours on Boxing Day, and in hospital with suspected meningitis 2 days later! Just got out before New Years Eve, only to be readmitted 10 days later when she relapsed. Never got to the bottom of it, except to rule out meningitis after 2 horrendous lumbar punctures, so yes we're hoping for a better Christmas!!
