Hi there C+B

I started using the CBFM last month, and I really liked it (even though August wasn't our month, as sodding AF came on Sunday!) as it made me feel far more in control of the whole process and removed all the guesswork.

I found it really useful because I had thought every month I was ov'ing on days 12-14, based on twinging pains and EWCM, but no - according to the monitor my peak was on days 16-17.

I'm on CD 5 today, so we are just a few days apart for September...

On word of warning - for month one, the damn machine had me POAS every day from day 6 until day 26, meaning I used up an entire box on month one. I kind of resented every one after day 18, as I knew my peak and high stage had been and gone, and I was just wasting money for those last ones. I really hope it will only ask me to use ten or so sticks this month!!

Best of luck

ps - I read your other post about your disappointment this month. Truly sorry to head about it, but I take my hat off to you for your PMA!! Absolutely the right way to look at it.

Hi Carrie&Big
I'm on month 3 of using the monitor and I really like it. I seem to ov any time between day 19 and 25 so it's really useful for me to have it otherwise I'd never know when to focus the BDing! It does mean I have the same issue as Mrs D though, the monitor asks me to test for 20 days in a row because it's not sure what's going on early in the month. But I've had blood tests to confirm my ov 2 months running, and the monitor does get it right. I've got the egg pic today actually, very exciting! Best of luck with yours!

Hello!

I've been using it since April although we've actually started trying seriously only in June. I've been writing down on a calendar month by month my peak days to see if there was a pattern and I always have 2 peaks on days 13 and 14. Now I use only 10 sticks from day 6 do day 15.

This month I have also started charting though because I wanted to make sure that my luteal phase is stable as I've been having spotting even 7-10 days before AF.

I think the monitor is great whilst through the charting I'm learning a lot about my body behavior.

Good choice!

Hi Carrie&Big

I think you'll like the monitor as it's easier than deciphering how dark the line is on an OV stick, you know you are eother on a low, high or peak day.

I'm on my seconnd month with mine. The first month I had several lows after it asked for the tests from day 6, after that I got several highs ans the peak on days 16 and 17.

This month I was getting worried as it's been low up until yesterday but then this morning it leapt straight to peak.

The only drawback is that you must remember to test first thing in the morning, although so far I've never forgotten!

Good luck with using it. Let us know how you get on
