Subject : Bleeding after C-section?

How long did everyone bleed for after having a C-Section?
I had mine 3 weeks and 2 days ago and am still bleeding. Saw the Doctor yesterday for mastitis and mentioned it and she thought i should have stopped bleeding after 2 weeks and to keep an eye on it.
i am now a little worried.
What are everyone elses expereinces if you don't mind?

Thanks,

Rachel. x

My midwife said that women who have a C-section usually bleed lighter, but for longer, this was true for me as after the first 2 days I didn't bleed much (like a light period.) That stopped after 4 weeks. But I was still losing brownish discharge (sorry tmi) until 7 weeks.

Hi I had a section on the 21st of July and am still having occasional day of spotting. My docs said it could be up to 6 weeks before this stopped just as long as there were no big clots it was perfectly normal. HTH.:\)

Hi, I had my section 6 weeks ago and I bled for nearly 5 weeks. Was very light after 3 weeks though.

it was about 6 weeks for me too. I found it quite light but heavier if i over exerted myself.
