Subject : Hes eaten snail shell!

earlier on harri was playing on the floor and was sick everywere, i was crying so picked him his and he was heavingand choking on something so a patted him on the back and another sick fountain came up all down me, i called oh down to help me, he tok harri off me and when i examined the sick on me it had snail shell in it! then i exmined the sick on the floor and found another 2 bits! all the pieces were about the size of a 5p piece each. Will he be ok? he seems fine if not a bit grizzly but maybe he has a tummy ache, does anyone know if these shells will harm him?

No they wont harm him but pieces may have been sharp. So many children eat all kinds of things from the garden, worms and stuff, could find more harmful substances in a kitchen! When I was small my neighbour ate a muddy worm with no ill effects and toddlers put anything in their mouths, my other two tried to eat anything while in the garden too. Dont think your little one will try snails agan tho xx Dont worry too much hun xx

I can imagine how worrying it must have been for you.But I couldnt help but smile when I read it. Such a boy thing to do,. Bless him. I'm sure he will be ok. I guess the shell thing is worrying you more than the fact that it was a snail.

In terms of that just keep a close watch I guess.

I wouldn't worry, when my daughter was younger I once caught her eating a woodlouse!!!! If thats what I've caught her eating I hate to think what she's eaten when I've not been looking. I'm glad to say she had no ill side effects.
