Subject : i've had my baby girl :-))

Hi ladies

as some of you will know I went into hospital on sunday at 6pm to be induced as was 11 days overdue. When I got to hospital I was put on a monitor to check baby's heart rate. She was very sleepy so a doctor was called. They couldn't get to my waters as my cervix not dilated at all. They were worried so order an emergency c-section straight away!! We were stunned as baby seemed fine and is always a bit quite in the afternoon. Anyway I was in theatre and my lovely baby girl was delivered at 8.11pm. She had done a poo in the womb and was distressed and had to be revived. However from then she has been fine. I am very sore but have managed to breast feed. I was released from hospital at 5pm yesterday.

we have named her Maiya Louise Bradbury and she weighs 8 pound 3 ounces and is very long.

I hope all you overdue mummies don't have to wait to long, am pretty knacked so will check in again soon.

Congratulations! Wow what a change of plan having to have a c-section in the end, but what a relief everything was fine and went so smoothly..and a lovely surpirse to get to meet your baby girl so early instead of having to go through a dreaded long winded induction (which i am soooooooooo worried about!)

Hope you have a speedy recovery...and enjoy being a mummy! Leanne xxx

Congratulations! That must have been pretty scary, thank goodness she is alright. I hope you make a speedy recovery, make sure you get plenty of rest and enjoy Maiya (what a beautiful name!).
