Subject : Weight Watchers..
Hiya Girls!
Started WW yesterday & really just need motivation and ideas.. so hard to think up new dinners every evening!
I did a 4 mile walk yesterday! *big cheesy grin* & 'the diet starts today' lol as I stopped at gregs on the way home for a apple dainish (good start ) was Yummy tho!
Today i've had 3 wheatabix & semi milk for breakie - lol got the whole day to go now! I just thought it would be a good idea to start a thread with other Yummy mummy's to swap ideas for nice & easy meals and give a little support when the biscuit tin is look Way to inviting! 
Think i'll do Jackets tonight with a BIG FAT SALAD! Mmm..
what about everyone else? x 
who else is trying 'to be good'? lol

Hello,
I've been a weight watchers member for over 2 years now and it really does work when you stick to it, but at times it is so hard. When lo is crying and demanding attention it is far easier to reach for a biscuit than to prepare a nice healty salad!
My lo is 8 months now but I havn't really got back into it since he was born. I've reached the stage now though where it is hard to use him as the excuse for my extra few pounds so I really need to focus and sort myself out.
Which plan have you chosen? I do core as I am too lazy to count points.
When I originally joined my friend came with me and is now a leader, she lost loads and looks great now. I help out at the meetings, running the little shop.
I can definately recomend the recipe books. I find they have some great ideas in, my husband loves them too, so I try to cook from them as often as possible.
If you ever need a bit of encouragement/support just let me know. Hope you have a really good first week,

Hiya!
My lo is a year old now and I put 4 stone on in pregnancy, well I have lost 4 and half stone over the last 9 months on WW I can't recommend it enough. I would like to lose a bit more as I still have a bit of a jelly belly (but I fear that nothing can be done with that, my bump stretched too much I was huge!)
Have you ever tried any of the WW ready meals, they are quite expensive but really nice!
The only thing I would say is that sometimes you will have off days, don't let it put you off just carry on the next day, I sometimes had setbacks which lasted 2 weeks because I felt so awful about breaking the diet.
Good luck and let us all know how you are getting on. So when is your first weigh in?

I don't do weight watcher, but eat some of the ready meals at dinner time as its easier to pop in while busy. if you have a farm food local they do them for £1.

i have done this in the past (just about to start slimming world but only cos our docs give 12wks free sessions so thought i'd try it!) i have loads of the receipe books and they are great, i've collected them over the years as they are not particularly cheap but well worth it. i'm always making one thing ro another from them, tho i have to say the portions are really small (now that's why i;m still big??!!!) i often adapt them to suit me as well.
the meals are good too and so are the snacks and desserts. did you know sugar free jelly is no points??!!! i always had some of that made up in the fridge so i could have a little binge but do no harm!! if you shop at tesco's their healthy living range is endorsed by ww so they have the points values on them and that always helped me cos then i knew what i was having and much cheaper too normally! i used to keep plenty of low point snacks around so if i got a craving or whatever i could eat something and not blow the budget so to speak!
good luck hun- you are doing something positive about it - even tho i am sure you don't need to!!!lol!!

I do shop in tesco's and think i've choosen the perfect time to start because OH get's paid tom so were off to do our monthly shop! i'll make sure i eat BEFORE going to keep me good! lol stop me being distracted by the 'naughty ilse' lol which my OH always normally drags me down! I noticed it had points marked on some of the food but I didn't connected it to the WW diet!
TBH I did do the WW for a short time before and lost 9 pounds which is great so I know it works... but i'm at home with baby all day so don't feel justified in buying ready meals- plus I have to feed OH (who is not on a diet lucky thing!) So really wanted to be able to cook nice meals that I can eat - that OH will eat too but I just give him a bigger portion size if that makes sence..
I did buy the eating out guild yesterday cause I do go for dinner loads (i'm a real foody!) at least that gives me control when I'm out!
I have a bit of difficulty working out how many points something should be if it doesnt have it written on the packet if you know what I mean..
any lovely ideas for WW dinners that I can cook?

Yeah doing it now (little one is 5 weeks) because I know the months and weight can creep up on you and I will get to the point where I just wont be able to blame pregnancy/baby weight any more .. and I didnt want to pile loads more on before I got to THAT point to make the task in hand MUCH harder! x

Hi girls,
I think I put on about 3 stone in pregnancy and have lost about 3 and a half since (7 months ago) using ww and exercise. BUt now hav got bit lazy as everyone saying how good I look now (obviously was hideous before then!) and have fallen off the wagon and put on about 4lb.
Back on it today although I have a hen weekend this weekend so heaven knows how i will get on.
Anyhow....
- ready meals are good but v small so I eat with a jacket and loads of veg or salad (think you can justify it even if home all day with lo as they are a job in themselves)
- stir frys with lots of soy sauce. noodles are bit hard to point but makes nice big dinner
- veg and chicken curry (from recipe book)
chili con carne made with extra lean mince and lots of veg and my secret ingredient, baked neans
snacks - rice cakes, w bread, grapes etc
yes it would be good to exchange ideas and new finds, good luck x

I've just gone back to weight watchers after stepping on the scales n seeing i'd put on 3 n a half stone through preganancy with jason!!!
but i've been before, n lost just under 3 stone so i can do it again!!!! got first weigh in 2night after signing up again last week.
good place for the recipie ideas is the eSource or look on ebay for the recipie books going cheap, i just hijack my dads coz he's got em all!! heehee.

hi
good luck with the diet I am at w.w. and counting points you have to be so well organised which is hard with a baby. So far i have lost weight every week and now have a total of 19lb off. It has been hard but I feel my success is due to having the w.w. scales they are brill and can point everything. They are wee bit expensive but worth every penny they really help.

Go for it! Weight watchers is the best thing in the world.
I started mid april and have lost 32 lbs since then. I can't tell you how good i feel - not only because of the weight loss, but because i feel in control of what i'm eating and thinking about food doesn't run my life any more!
My favourite dinner is a quorn stir fry. I use a lot of quorn instead of meat - mostly because i don't really like meat, but it also saves a lot of points. I make a marinade out of soy sauce, sweet chili sauce and balsamic vinegar, and some chinese 5 spice. Then bulk it up with veg and 60g rice.
Curly wurlys are great for a choccy fix, only 2.5 points.
Cereal bars are my life savers at breakfast time, as i don't usually get a chance to make a big breakfast, and i like saving points for evenings once lo is sleeping. A lot of them only have 1.5 points, but check the box! Also good for a filling snack.
weight watchers wine is worth trying, only 1 point a glass!
I like to make a batch of low/zero point soup that i can reheat quickly at lunchtime.
It is hard doing this with a baby, but don't be tempted to use lo as an excuse. I like to think that i'm doing this for my bambino as well as for me - i want to be a good role model to him, so i'm happy to be learning healthy habits and portion sizes while he is still so young.
