Hi all!! Had my baby boy HARLEY on Tuesday 12th August at 7.29am. He weighed a whopping 10lbs,8oz!! A shock to me and hubby!!
Natural delivery, only had gas and air for a little bit - none during the pushing stage! Loved the whole labour experience, I didn't think it hurt that much at all! I even gave birth standing up!
Suffered a really bad 4th degree tear though - although I was unaware of this until the after examination.
Self discharged from the hospital and glad to be home recovering and playing with baby!!
Good luck to all you other August ladies out there! If I can do it- anyone can!!

Wow congratulations!! Well done you for enjoying the experience..gives me hope! (and glad to hear it didn't hurt that much..although i'm such a wimp i'll probably think differently)

wow u did great!!!! such a big baby too, i guess size doesnt matter. i really hope i also find that labour doesnt hurt that much lol. can i ask someone if u want to discharge urself from hosp how soon can u do it? how long do u have to wait? i really dont want to be in for ages if everything is fine!

Jane- you shouldn't have to stay in hospital too long if everything is ok. Check with your hospital as to what their policy is, but a lot of places do a 6-hour discharge, they will want to check that you have had a pee and that you've done at least one feed if you are breastfeeding.

Well done on the birth of your little boy, or should I say not so little! Did you have any idea that he was going to be that size or was it a shock? I am envious of your pain threshold, and glad you enjoyed the overall experience. Hope you recover soon from your stiches, don't overdo it.

Congrats Bashful, Well done to you. Lovely name Harley. My little one is asleep just got two seconds to come on here, he's one month old already, he was 4 weeks on Friday. It's great being a Mum.
