Hi Melanie,

I live in Stowmarket, near Ipswich so not too far from you. Just found someone on here called Hozzel who lives in Bury st Edmunds.

I've lived round here for most of my life tho moved to London for a couple of years a couple of years back.

Hi Lara

Thanks for the reply I know a lot of people don't always look at the other forums.
I thought It would be interesting to see who is in suffolk as I have seen a few posts from people in the suffolk area.

I finally decided to hand my notice in at work because no matter how I tried to work it childcare was going to cost the same as I earned. Its scary stuff not having a job as I have always worked. But I am slowly getting used to the idea and trying to look at it as a short time thing.

Hows things with you?? Are you back at or going back to work??.
Did you have that awful thunder storm the other night it was so loud where we are.

Take care xx

Hi,

I am ok thanks, always tired by there you go! I am sort of back at work. i hoping not to return to my old job. my mat pay and leave covers me until mid jan. i have just started to work for asda in the eves so no childcare but bring a bit of extra money in (just spent the next 3 mths wages on a new bed!!) It is hard but nice to talk to some adults for a change!

we had the thunder but it wasn't too bad here - hubby and lo slept through it! i was woken by the rain cos windows wide open.

would be great if some of us could meet up sometime.

I love living in suffolk too. was born here, in fact me and lo in same hopsital. i moved to london about 5 1/2 yrs ago and was back after about a year cos missed suffolk and family too much! i love the fact that countryside and beaches all in reach no matter where you are and you have great shops too so everything you could want really.

Hi i'm another suffolk Mummy!

Filobabe told me there was this forum. I live in sudbury so very near filo and jbean.

Are you all pregnant or do you have children already? I'm 22 + 2 with my first.

I work at a sch and plan to work until my due date as the sch is private and they don't give any additional maternity benefits than the state already give us! Plan to sign back on to work the 1st day of the sch summer hols next yr to get full pay over july and aug and then go back in sept full time.

Speak soon everyone xx

Love to be a stay at home mum but we need the money

Hi lixiedixie,

I know melanie is already a mummy and so am I. I have a little girl Chloe who will be 5 mths old on monday! cannot believe how quickly time has passed - it is just mad.

i too have to work cos of money. when i was first pg we would have been ok with me not working just about but not now everything costs so much more than this time last year!

which school do you work in? I lived in Long Melford til i was 9 and still visit the area as my nanny is burried there (sorry didn't mean to be morbid!)

can't believe how close we all are, you just never think that we could all be so close by on a big site like this!
