Subject : weaning - how do you manage when working?

Hi,

I'm about to start work this week in the evenings, 5 a week. Chloe is not yet weaned but at 20wks she may not be too far off. I trhink when i start it won't be to bad as i'll probably start with breakfast but when she is on 3 meals a day i'm not quite sure how i will manage to feed her and myself before i leave for work at 5.45?

anyone in similar situation with any tips? i know i'm not there yet but just can't imagine how it's going to work and already don't like the fact that i won't be here for bedtime so more stress is just not helpful!

thanks

lara xx

Hi lara. I work evenings too and I leave my child with my hubby so he does tea and baths and bed. Who will be looking after Chloe? If you are breastfeeding can you express some milk? i was bottle feeding by the time i went back to work so i didn't have any worries there.
Also just wait as long as you can before weaning chloe. they recomend 6 months and if you can wait til then its easier! my son has his tea at about 4pm and then just a puree or yoghurt later. he doesn't have a bottle now but i know most babies have a bottle around bedtime.
just realised how long ago you posted!! hope your job is going well and if you're weaning thats going well too!!!
