Hello :-)

Thanks for thinking of me, glad you reckon I have good advice to give!!

How are you? I'm doing pretty well. 13 weeks pregnant now, things progressing nicely. Have huge bump, look more like 23 weeks! We've had a bit of a scare this week as the neural tube & Downs test results have come back as 'very high risk'. But, there's no point in fretting, what will be, will be.

What about you? Did you get any of the fertility books? How's OH doing on cutting out the booze & fags? It's not easy, is it, but making the changes is so worthwhile. Am sure his next SA will see different results.

Like I've said before, if ever you want to chat, just email me. Having just been through the horrors of infertility, I know how demoralising it can be.

Sending you lots of sticky baby dust, may this month be the lucky one for you ...

Amanda xx

Hi Amanda,
So sorry to hear that you have been going through a bad time but I am sure that everything will be fine with the baby. Do you have much support around you. I won't be able to give you any advice but I sure do have two good ears/eyes to listen with if you want to talk.

OH is doing good with cutting down smoking and coffee so I really hope it helps and I have also started using a clearblue monitor as I never really had great results with normal OV sticks but not sure if I was just missing it.

Trying to stay positive but it can be hard, going to go and see my doc again in Aug as it will be 1 year of TTC then.

Thanks for the babydust.

Am glad OH is doing what's needed, am sure it can only have a positive outcome.

I know you have a pretty good GP, unlike OH, but when you go back, don't take no for an answer. So many fob us off with 'keep trying, another 6 months', that sort of thing, which really isn't helpful - especially as the NHS waiting times are so long.

Thanks for the offer of an ear, might well take you up on that! At the moment, I'm feeling much more positive, but it comes and goes. Will put it at the back of my mind until the next appointment.

A x
