i personally am against abortion ,, i know people do it for there own reasons but i also know of someone who has had 4 abortions because she doesnt like contreception ,, i tnk this is a sick thing to do , after all its a lil life growing inside u how can we decide wether this little person has the right to live or not we cannot play god with a childs life , i beleive that everything happens for a reason and everyone has the right to live there lives , and we r not to say that this childs life is less valuble than someone elses life , there are other options available
dont want this to offend anyone this is just my opinion !! xxx

Personally I could never do it as I see it as a baby rather than a cluster of cells! Its all down to someones personal perception as to when 'life' begins the same as the debate of when do you actually 'die' everyone has different opinions.
I would never call for an out right ban as not wanting to sound harsh or offend but I'd rather see one life lost than two due to dangerous back street abortions or having the boyfriend/father/mother whoever use a coat hanger or something!

Just to add I agree that laws need to be changed as to the age as I find it a bit difficult to think that in one part of a hospital an abortion is being carried out but over in the special baby care unit a baby of the same age is fighting for life!
Women also need more support from my expreiance I went to gp when I found out and was given an abortion leafletno mw numbers adoption leaflets nothing! I believe women should have a sort of counselling session before they make ANY desicion to be sure that it is truly whta THEY want!

Hi i'm against abortions that happen over 8/10weeks, my sister had an abortion at 18 weeks and i hated her for it, but i couldnt hate her anymore than she hates herself. It was the most horrid experience of her life and she is very traumatised by it, she deeply regrets it, and instead of being horrible to her i have to support her and be a shoulder for her. Even though it was her own doing. Her reason was due to not knowing who the father was and didnt want her boyfriend to find out. That poor child was killed cos of her stupidity! But if i was in the same situation would i do differently?? I know for one thing i would never leave it to 18 weeks to do it. I just couldt do it over 8 weeks, Just my own personal reasons. She is now trying to get pregnant cos of the guilt of what she did. She also thinks the abortion itself has caused problems down there for her, she has very bad pain still etc. She had to give birth to the baby and they didnt cover it up she was made to see it, which i know they are supposed to cover it, but in a way i was glad she saw it, cos it made her realise just what she had done! i may sound harsh but i just feel it was her own doing. Obviously i dont say this to her cos she is cut up enough but its what i think. Why does it take ppl so long to decide if they want it or not. If your going to do it do it early not late on!

Depending on the situation I am pro. I don't think abortion should be used as a form of contraception. I did not understand it until I was in a bad situation.
I had a 2 year old and a 6 month old and we were about to become homeless, my relationship with my partner was not going well (we weren't even sleeping in the same bed). I had extreamly bad PND and was not coping at the time with the children I had. If I had of gone through with the pregnancy my children would have unfairly suffered and I am glad I didn't. After alot of support from agencies I am back on track and able to manage my depression. I think it will be something I have my whole life now. I think if I had another one things would not be as good as they are now. We are buying the house we are in now and I feel in a good space to ttc again. I have had alot of trouble with hormone based contraception I may aswell take tic tacs to not get pregnant.

i also dont agree with abortions. i am only 16 years old and i am now 39+3. I am 100% agaianst them. and i do think that if someone didnt want to get pregnant then they shouldnt have unprotected sex. saying that my intensions were never to get pregnant. my sister had an abortion a few years back and it is still on her mind to this day. on the other hand if the baby will be brought up into a bad environment then theres just no point. you have to think about the baby not yourself. x

I am pro choice, I think in some situations abortion is the right thing. Personally i wouldn't have one but if i had fallen pregnant in my teens i may have considered it.
But i do think the cut off point for abortions should be much earlier than it is.

I'm against it to a certain degree, If a woman has been sexually assulted or raped then yes I could agree totally with it as long as it's before 12wks anything over that and that is just sick imho! But if you've been careless enough to have unprotected sex then you should live with the consequences of your actions, sorry If this seems harsh but you've created a life and that baby deserves a chance even if it's not actually raised with its birth parent(s). Even tho my 3rd pregnancy nearly killed me do I regret having my angel? hell no! I slipped up and had to live with it, If i'd done it I'd never have been able to live with myself. Take my m8 March last year she goes and has an abortion due to being stupid enough to sleep with some random stranger, then by June/July time she's pregnant again but keeps this one due to being with the childs father (who nearly killed my OH last June btw at her b-day party) so nice guy! Anyway getting back to the topic, I agree with what a lot of you have said about if abortion was to be made illegal a lot of backstreet clinics would open up and the death rate would probably increase due to poor conditions and serious infections, so no to making it illegal---unless you were made to prove that you were raped cos they can tell if you've been raped or not! This is just my opinion tho.
Tell you what tho we should start a petition to have the legal abortion limit down to 12wks cos anything after that is just too shocking!!
