Subject : My baby was naughty today!

Hello girls

As the title says, my baby was naughty today - I couldn't feel movements very much and they were very infrequent. I waited about 12 hours and then called the midwife who advised me to go to triage. Luckily, because of reading BE, I knew what was likely to happen and that it was most likely due to baby being in an awkward position. Turns out Baby is hiding in my pelvis that's why things have suddenly gone quiet! I was monitored for 20 minutes or so, baby had hiccups at first (could hear it on the fetal monitor). It started moving when the monitor pads were pressed hard onto it and I feel a bit sore now! Baby was trying to kick it off!

I only just got the all clear from a urine infection picked up at the 20 week scan but it turns out I might now have another one now! So in a way, it's a good job things were checked out otherwise I might not have known.

Ooo, also, the triage is near the labour ward and I was relieved to NOT hear lots of women screaming in labour. I was a bit worried hearing something like that might have got me a bit nervous LOL!

Anyway, here's to a hopefully more relaxing weekend x

Hi there!!!
Sorry baby has been naughty for you-though I'm glad things are ok!! They really do hate being monitored don't they!!
Where I am we don't do triage-I've actually been on labour ward twice!! But it has been really really quiet which is great!!

I hope that your little monkey behaves from now on!!
Take care-and I'll speak to you soon!!

Funny what you say about not hearing ladies screaming - I was in for a week after George was born, and my room was directly below the labour ward - and I swear you would have thought some of those poor buggers were being tortured!!! And they seemed to have lots of middle of the night births too!!! Although I probably woke a fair few ladies up at around 6.30am - I suppose what goes around, comes around!!
