Subject : bad mother award!
goes to me this week!!!!! i left joseph in his high chair yesterday morning while i went to get his lunch together and he started whinging then shouting i kept saying "joseph stop it i wont be long" (he is a very impatient child and hates being bored for a second) so i ignored him and carred on for a few mins. i then went back into the lounge and he had somehow wriggled down one foot hole and was trapped by his head! i couldnt get the tray off quick enough. he wasnt hurt at all just scared i think. im still laughing about it to myself but lesson learnt - always strap him in!!!!!!

oooooooh naughty mummy! i know exactly what you mean...Joshua is a right chunk so when im in the kitchen i dont strap him in (usually), today I needed the loo, we have one right next door so i didnt think anything of leaving him...came back and he had wriggled down so it was just his head and shoulders stopping him from falling though! Luckily he found it hilarious! Will always strap in from now on! xxx

My mum cut my hair for me the other wk ans I swear there were white strands here and there.......with our 5th on the way, at this rate I'll be totally white by my 40th!!!!!

Thats a good one hayley. I always leave Isaac in his highchair whilst doing something, I will make sure he is strapped in now, you think with him being my 4th I would know to do that anyway wouldnt you.

Oh, congrats on the award Hayleys1 LOL LOL!!! Thanks for making me laugh! Haven't seen any awards given for a while. Must say I haven't really nominated myself for some time....sure I'll be up for one sometime soon!!!
I sometimes don't strap Matthew in as his darts-player style tummy tends to keep him in but guess i better had now. I did catch him trying to climb out the top like your Alex, MummyX5. He's also v interested in the steps that go up into our loft and whenever OH is up there Matthew's always at the bottom trying to put one foot on the bottom steps.
Hope you ladies and your LOs are well and happy.
Juliette (previous winner of the bad mother of the month award!!)

Well I think I'm gonna have the award today. I was upstairs doing my daughters hair, Isaac was downstairs and hubby had already gone to work so he was on his own, I thought I'd only be a minuite so he'd be ok. Amazingly even though he cant walk he managed to climb 3 stairs to get the packet of wet wipes that was still on the stairs from yesterdays shopping waiting to be put away, he fell down backwards, all i heard was a thud, then tears and I ran down to find him laying on his back at the bottom of the stairs crying.
Lesson to be learnt from that one.... Shut the stair gate behind you lol

at least you have the excuse that joseph is your first, you would think by no4 I would have learnt the importance of stair gates really. My excuse is, I am too busy running round after everybody else sometimes I just forget.

Juliette, Isaac would have eaten the woodlouse, he eats everything. I am forever picking bits of fluff and mud out of his mouth, it is a nightmare in the garden, the other day he ate a daisy.

Lewis eats everything to, has taken to trying out stones, tonight there was a compition with him and the dog they were fighting over a bit of paper, Lewis won!
Lewis highchair you clip the tray on the front, and you can also lower it which is the position i have it in most times, i always fasten him in but he has worked out how to get his arms out and he can pull him self half out, he likes his food too much to totally escape lol - he can undo his car seat which isn't great coz he isn't old enough to understand no, he thinks it funny while am driving along un clicks himself and then falls out! the first time he did i shit myself, good job i didn't crash! think i will have to start tying his hands behind his back or something far cheaper than buying anew car seat lol!

Aww ladys thanks for making my day, after such a crap day, i have not near enough wet myself (TMI) lol, My lil boy who is 16months did the high chair trick, i was only in the loo for 2 secs, and he started cryin at full volume, and i was shouting its ok ill be them in a min, as he hate me leaving him, and come back to him slid out of th bottom holding on th the tray for dear life! Ive also had to put 2 pillow cases on davids pillows, as he likes to pull bits off it, ive just spent the past 2 weeks picking up bits of fluff, the more i pick up the more i seem to find, david like to eat wet wipes, and like to empty the packet over the floor and then roll around like a dog on them lol, he hasnt learned to unclip his carseat yet but i am waiting on it as he has tryed a couple of time, but thanks for making my day! Ill just think off all those, woodlouse, sudacream and raisin boxes and ill laugh

ahh I remember when Alice first went into a bed, she got herself out of it and emptied all the clothes and toys out of the drawers and the wardrobe and was sat in the middle of it looking up at me, i could have killed her. I am dreading when Isaac goes in to a bed..
