Subject : One Life Nappies - advice please
Hello all,
I wonder if anyone can give me some advice. I bought LOTS of One Life nappies after what I thought was extensive research before my twins were born. I understood that it would mean a lot of washing of nappies, but given the amount of money it would save, let alone the environmental advantages, I was happy to do so.
However, now that my girls are approx 2 months old (they were prem) I am having maasive problems. The nappies leak after only two hours and no matter how I fold the booster, it still leaks, and makes the girls bottoms look HUGE.
Has anyone else had problems? I am close to demanding One Life give me a refund on all the nappies I bought as I could possibly get through 16 nappies a day with my girls, which is ridiculous, and I did not buy enough nappies to cope with this many changes, given that they can take up to 24-hours to dry!!
Help!

Hi I use the One life nappies and dont really have any problems with them, although I have changed the waterproof covers that I use. This was due to having the velcro mothease wraps, which I found iritated my sons skin. I now use nature babies, from the babykind website. I dont mean to sound funny but what do you wash them with? It is advised not to use fabric softner as this affects the absorbancy of the nappy. I have had my nappies for three years now and using them again on my second son, so they may have changed since I bought mine.

Hi
We also got the Onelife hamper of nappies and unfortunately found them to leak often when our son was in his early weeks, and to be honest it started to annoy me so much that we swapped to Naturecare eco disposables from Boots for quite a few months. I have returned to the Onelife though and now that our son is over 20lb I've found the nappies much better, no leaking if changed every 3-4 hours in the day, however we still use a disposable overnight. Our council have recently introduced real nappy vouchers for parents, so I've bought 3 slinky minky pocket nappies made from fleece, with microfibre inserts, and have found them very good, extremely quick to dry too. I will perservere with the Onelife now as I think they look great on.
