Subject : Sleeping through already!

I can't believe it, my 8 week old has slept through the last 3 nights approx. 9.30 - 8. When he was born he had 2 night feeds at 1 and 5am, at about 3 weeks old he dropped the 1am feed and now he's (well...so far!) sleeping through! I feel sooo lucky! Only prob is I feel I dont have a right to moan when I have a hard day, haha!!! x

hi tiger lily my ciaran was 8weeks early, so even though he 7weeks yesterday, the correct age is still -1week.He had a feeding pattern like you said your lo had 1am - 5am during the night so to speak, and he hsa just started dropping his 5am so im praying he will follow in your lo footsteps as he gets older. i was seriously like a walking zombie for the past few weeks.

you must be so chuffed, hope it only gets better.congrats!

Yeah, he is a big boy, 13lb 4. Surprised Seems to be slowing down now (phew), he's gained 7oz the last 2 weeks whereas before it was more like an lb.

I think I've prob jinxed myself, posting this! Bet he has 2 feeds again tonight, lol! x

Grrrr.... I'm not jealous at all. In fact I love the fact that my 4 week old wakes every 2hours for a feed overnight without fail.

And that he takes 45 mins to feed which leaves me getting roughly 1hr 15mins sleep before he wakes up again. Envious - me????!!! LOL

Good on youxx

Wow! Congratulations, that's fantastic. I am having the 11 and 3 feeds at the moment and feel knackered. Hoping Kai will follow suit and sleep through soon. Do you have a routine that you follow before you put him to bed?

Ooh good boy Gabe!! Do you think he could give Evie a lesson on staying asleep in the morning?! I guess I've no right to complain, she does go from 9-5 or 6, and hubby normally gets up with her so I'm lucky!

SukiB, yes we do have a routine but it has been going to pot recently! I did give him bath at 7.30 and bottle at 8 which I still do, he seems tired but then the second I put him down he isnt sleepy at all so ends up staying up with me.

Karen, sorry you are having sleepless nights! Hows the breastfeeding going?? Wish I had carried on tho I don't envy the 45 minute feeding! x

Nathans doing pretty well, going from 9.30 - 5 or 6 and getting a bit later each day so hopefully will catch up soon. I havent had him weighed for a while but I'm going on Tues, i'm curious to see if they're similar as they have been so alike. He was 11lb 3 weeks ago so not likely to be quite as big. I'll let you know on Tues.

Karen, that's my 1st down to a tee! He slept thru 11pm-7.30am at 15 weeks and we thought that was a fluke, but then he just got better and better.
2nd was better but 3rd was just brill! Slept thru at 9 weeks and still does now (apart from when ill) at 7mth.
Well done Tiger Lily, hope it long continues!

Well done hope he carries on being such a good boy. At 10 weeks Rhys started doing 9.30-6.30 now at 6 months he does 8-7.30. That extra hour in a morning makes such a difference.

Hi

My little Maisy is 6 1/2 weeks and im bf.

She normally has a feed aboubt 6/7 then i wake her about half ten. She will then sleep through till half two then again to five.

Is it worth be missing the ten feed to see if she will go through?

Hi Tiger Lily - bfing seems to be going well so far - apart from I feel completely empty cos the little piglet doesn't leave me alone long enough to refil properly I don't think! I'm really enjoying it but it is hard work, everyone tells me it gets easier so I'm pinning my hopes on that!

Alioli - thanks for that - I'll give Reiss until he's 11 weeks old and then it's war!xx
