Subject : I feel like I've been kicked...

Hi ladies,

I'm now 40 + 7 and had a stretch and sweep 4 days ago. It was really quite painful as my cervix was still very tubular and baby was showing no signs of appearing at all but the following day didn't feel too bad.

Today I feel like I have been kicked between the legs, almost bruised and sore when I walk. It feels muscular and I still have no signs of any imminent labour. Frown

Has anyone else experienced this type of pain?...

im with you ladies on the pain side of things, i find it so much worse when im in bed, i can only describe the feeling as a throbbing in my lady bits! unreal, every night im sure its gets worse, and i go to sleep thinking ooh great this must be the night, then i wake up a few times with the usual toilet trips and then finally wake up in the morning with still a huge baby bump and pains down below!

hopefully wont be too much longer for any of us, cant wait to have a comfortable nights sleep!

Hi Princessjane,

I think it's punishment for something we did in a former life!!! Surprised

Seriously I don't know, I wonder if it's to do with the hormones loosening off our ligaments or something similar... Confused

I feel the same. This morning my bits were so painful I had a nice bath instead of a shower, but as soon as I got out the pain was back. I'm really fed up. Had really bad back ache this morning, so painful and period like pain, very hard belly then by lunch time all gone! I am so dissapointed....

Hope everyone else is ok.

Louise.

Mine are so tender! What is it?! why do they hurt so much?! The bath helps but when I'm in bed at night its literally throbbing.

I had this for a week before SBJr was born - apparently its the weight of the baby when they drop putting strain on your muscles.

I've actually got it again now - but I'm only 14wks at the moment. My midwife advised this afternoon that because I stupidly moved some furniture last week, I have pulled some muscles in my pelvis. These are linked to my pelvic floor muscles and are causing the pain - hence it feels like it did before I went into labour.

I was quite lucky as SBJr dropped quite late so I only had this pain for a week with him. I have a mate who had it for 3wks before the baby was born

Don't worry ladies - I'd take it as the end is in sight and baby have dropped ready to meet you Happy

Either that or you've pulled some muscles!! WhateeeEver!
