hi hun.
the website should have a link to apply, if not it gives a phone number, they would be able to sort it for you and offer a dna test if your ex asks for 1 before he pays anything.
otherwise, if you claim income support, they contact csa for you then the csa get in touch with you.
you could go to your local job centre and they will help you with all the benefits and stuff your entitled to.
good luck hun, with this and the rest of your pregnancy.

Hi,welcome to irresponsible fathers!! My baby dad done the same thing to me, I gave his details to the csa who contacted him he denied he was the father so we had dna test which proved he was the dad which he has to pay for now, he still wont accept he baby dad and wants nothing to do with him even tho he been poorly. Good luck with it all and remember your baby is the most important thing in the world, it is so easy to get wrapped up in anger like i did!!! The csa will do their best to help, if you are on benefit you will only get £10 a wk extra once he starts paying, my baby is almost 10 months now and still waiting for his money, but now it coming direct from his wages hopefully i wont have to wait to long. xx

charli4321...the laws are changing as from august i think it is...so you no longer have to go through csa if you don't want.
if you really don't want him paying...look on their website and see what you can do when its all changed.

jojo...have you applied for a grant? single mums or people on low income can get them to buy everything you need for baby. amount depends on your income and circumstances, thats another thing the job centre will be able to help you with.

Leona- the laws have already changed.. When i went to claim income support they told me i had to go via csa and jaydens dad was not impressed and he stopped my money. I was happy with what he was giving me. Then the CSA called me and said if we want to have our own agreement then we now can so now we have gone back to that i let I.S know and they have no lowered my I.S but im still £30 a month better off. Id much rather get the money straight from him rather then most of it going to the government. We are on a mutual agreement but i still hate him! lol x

when i applied for my i.s they said we was ok to have our own agreement, then someone from csa phoned me about a month ago and said i have to go through them as the law doesn't change til the end of the yea. then a woman from csa rang a couple of weeks ago and said it changes in aug so if i'm happy with the arrangement, i don't have to go through them.
how are you £30 better off though coz i.s take all but £10 of what he gives me out of my i.s, and come end of aug your allowed to keeo 1st £20 then sometime next year it changes again to the 1st £40...i was told all this a few weeks ago by csa and i.s.

i wouldn't worry then hun....like you say...its their mistake not yours, if it is wrong. sounds like they don't know their **** from their elbow if they're telling people different things. i was told different things from 2 people at csa and another from income support!!!
darren gives me £100 a month. i'd get about £25 more if i went through csa but would lose it in my i.s...and he said he will stop paying the extra £20 he gives me to pay off the credit card i've got that paid off his debts!!!! cheeky bastard. there'd be nothing i could do about it either coz its in my name...he still owes £1400 on it. gonna be paying it forever as he only pays £20 a month to it!!!!

Just to say you bette watch because if they recaculate ur money, and you were gettin more than they thought they will make you pay it all back, yeah i no its not your fault but they class it as it is your fault because you never got in contact to tell them, my lil boys dad pay a tenner a week towards dad, i told cis that and they were fine with our agreement, but now he hasnt got a job and i havent had anything for 11 weeks this weekend, but i am adding it up, and he will give me it when he gets a job, lazy **** would rather sit and play

they don't know their **** from their elbow mate...i shouldn't worry about it.
if they do come to for money...they can only take what you can afford...even if its only £1 a week.
if you've got it in writing that you contacted them and they still said its write...they wouldn't have a leg to stand on.
