Subject : how old was ur LO when they first smiled?

I know it sounds mean but i cant remember with my other boys (iv prob got it written in their record books but not long moved house so things are all over the place still!!) but im sure LO has a lil smile for me sometimes. I know they have windy smiles but these smiles look different and its when hes looking in my direction. He is 2 weeks. Is it wishful thinking or could it be a mummy smile?

Elaine and boys xx

Kyra gave me a big smile at 2 weeks... gums and all, she's done it since 3-4 times in a weeks. looks right into my eyes and when i smile she gives a massive smile and her little eyes light up. I know it's not wind! Does it in her sleep too!

I am soo glad to read this! Tommy has been smiling since about 2 wks but I thought it was just windy smiles even though some of them were real beamers! Now I feel much better knowing he is really smiling and not just gonna burp at me!

Charlotte gave me a proper beamy smile at 6 weeks exactly. I could tell it was a proper smile as I could see it in her eyes too. She used to smile before that but I don't think they were real, just reflexes or wind.

Evie smiled not long after she was born! She smiled lots in the first few weeks. Everyone said it was wind but it was so sweet.

Her first proper smile was at 4 weeks, knew it was real as her eyes really lit up. She's been cooing since 3 or 4 weeks as well. We've had a couple of giggles as well now.

Think Lily's first was about 6 weeks.

Nathan was 4 weeks old. He's 8 weeks now but hasnt quite made it to chuckling yet, he does a lazy growl type noise when hes really happy.

Thank God! Someone else who's Lo smiled at 2 weeks ! Whenever I tell anyone my Lo smiled at 2 weeks, I get the pitying looks and the 'It was probably just wind, dear' muttered at me. Luckily for me, I videoed it on my mobile. It was when John was tickling her knees and saying 'Knobbly knees!' in a funny voice.
