im 37 years old and have been ttc for 7 months. my af is like clockwork and i do opk on day `12/13 and always positive but i dont get ewcm its never thin and strewtchy its always white and thick. i have checked for std and dont have. weill this thick mucus stop me conceiving and what should i do. i had checks at doctors for lh and fsh and all normal.

please help me i need advice

Hi lisaloo, welcome to the site.

EWCM isn't essential, but it is the fertile cm. Have you thought about pre-seed, it makes a welcoming environment for sperm.

EWCM is fertile cm, it allows the sperm to move to the cervix easier. It is thinner. Not everyone gets it, but you can still become pg. xx

fertile mucus is like egg whites, thin and stretchy.
You can also try evening primrose oil capsules which have been known to increase ewcm and make it thinner.
Good luck and remember just keep bding with last pregnancy i never had ewcm and still got pg(sadly ended in mc).

i have used evening primrose oil for the past 2 months and it's given me proper ewcm for the first time in over a year, and lots of it.... !

it didn't make much difference last month but definitely this month - it does say it takes a couple of months to take effect

Hi Lisaloo, Welcome!! The fact you're ov is a good sign, just need to make the conditions down there spermie friendly.
I've been on eve primrose this month and can already see a difference. Think you're only meant to take it up till the day you ovulate?! I always use pre seed too which makes it....easier!!!
