Would you have an elective Caesarean?

Subject : sorry ladies but i've just got to ask!!

Hi all

I'm 35 + 2 today and made the BIG mistake of weighing myself this morning. have put on just over 2.5 stone!! arrghghghgghghg. i know that each of us are different ect but I was just wondering what everyone else is weighing in at??? i read that the weight gain should tail off now so shouldn't put much if any more on. Mmmmmmm i wonder if any truth in this??

Also v excited as today as my last day at work - got loads to do but so can't be arsed!!My boss is a grumpy sod and didn't even wish me good luck and i've been here 11 years!! charming!! still got some lovely presents from everyone else so sod him!!

how's eveyone feeling today?? i will not doubt be on her eloads of the next few weeks as will be at home and prob obsessing about every little thing the nearer i get to the birth!! Have been having some pretty strong braxton hicks. anyone else getting these?? also weird sort of tugging/pulling sensations in side and on bladder and behind belly button???

Hiya,

well I'm feeling pretty fed up with being pregnant now!! and talk about braxton hicks last night I had quite a few and they hurt!! :-( they wern't really painful but deffinatly got my attention. I weighted myself last week at 34+3 and had put on 10kg which is roughly 1.5 stone i think! I like weighing in kg cos it doesn't sound so bad!! he he. I read the that you put on more weight in last 4 weeks though. So who knows!!! xx

I am currently 34+4 and have only put on 2lb..but i was a size 14/16 beforehand so didn't really need to lay down any more fat stores!lol..its mostly as i lost weight in the first trimester and throughout i've been really really struggling to eat which i hate as i normally LOVE my food (plus i used to drink alot of pints of lager each week..and am obviously not now!) I just want to be able to sit down and enjoy a meal so can't wait till he's out and i can have my appetite back again!..luckily my bump is growing fine as i had been worried about not putting on weight..I guess its just one of those things.xx

oh my god dont worry about it!! i stopped weighing my self after i reached about 25 wks and i had put over 2 stone on by then! i reckon will have put on 4 stone but im not going do find out until my last week.
i know i am retaining so much fluid as i have edema really bad all over me. so weighing my self wouldnt be accurate becuase ive not ate that bad really.
this is what dieting was made for!!
i'm putting my weight gain down to me guzzling at least 4 pints of milk a day everyday!! but when ive had baby this will stop so weight should soon come off.

xx

Honestly dont worry about it! I put on over 4 stone when I was pregnant with Abby. This time I've put on 11lb so far, which I'm actually really pleased with but everyone gains differently, I was a size 14-16 to begin with so on the curvier side and the 11lb I've gained is all in front. Honestly dont worry, average wait gain by full term is 25-35lb. And if you cant eat what you want when your pregnant, when can you?!

I dread to think! I had put on 2st at about 25-26 wks and decided then that i'm not getting weighed again until after the baby is here!
Hope your last day at work went ok.. did you get some lovely pressies?

I have definately decided i'm finishing at the end of next week (which unfortunately is next Sunday the way my shifts fall).. had a crappy day again today, never sat down, my feet hurt, by back and ribs are killing and at no point did my boss ask how i was feeling or even seem concerned about the fact that i never stopped for 13 hrs!!

I'm also getting strong bh, although sometimes they feel like its just the top half of my uterus that contracts which is odd.. like the top half goes mega hard but the bottom doesn't! Still think baby is sitting very high, hoping he/she engages soon!!

Enjoy your time off!

you are all so brave, I've not been anywhere near any scales since my first mw appointment when she weighed me and don't really want to know how much I've gained, will be seeing after i have lo though, I was told that you put on more for the last 5week cause baby is putting on fat instead of hight don't know how true it is

I've now been on mat leave for a week finished when i got to 35w, really couldn't have worked longer my boss has also been a b***h and thats when she was nice,

Think I've been getting bh but not very often really, do you think it means I'm more likely to go over? at my last 2mw app have been told lo is 4/5 so heading in right direction but don't really fancy another 6w of this, lol, just the 4would be nice

Hope you enjoy mat leave :) xxx

have you heard of clary sage oil? I think its meant to bring on labour or something. Give it a week and a half and then maybe try it?
