Subject : Strange Q but when you're in the bath....
I had a scan today and was in so much pain after 20 mins on my back I thought I was never gonna be able to get up!
However, I came home and decided to have a lovely bath after oh cooked me dinner. Got in and laid back and suddenly couldn't breathe! Tried to get on my side but she was so heavy that was uncomfortable aswell....
She is measuring big for dates and I cannot lie on my back in bed as she is soooo heavy.
How do you all bath?
I couldn't sit upright either because my bump is so huge!
Suggestions for relaxing in a lovely bubble bath at a very large 38 weeks please!
Strange question I know!!
Rachel.

Oh I don't know! I can't really help...
I went 2 weeks overdue with Max, so you can imagine how huge I'd got! I remember having a difficult time getting in and out of the bath. I used to leave the bathroom door open, in case I needed help getting out! OH had to help me at times.
Well only a couple more weeks, sweetie. I know its unbearable towards the end. You feel so huge and tired, and everyone looks at you like "aww, lovely. how sweet." And you're thinking "you try carrying him then!! "

oh I love the bath and ours is really deep i'm currently having 2 or 3 a day to relieve the pain and makes me a bit weightless so I feel I get a tiny break from being so heavy lol & have asked about the prospect of a water birth or at least being in there for part of early labour ... although I am noticing that I can put less and less water in as i am getting bigger and bigger lol.. I to have to leave the door open and can only get in when OH or my mum is around.. just in case.. cause I can get in but have real trouble lifting myself out again.. have you tried folding up a towel to put behind you so your not quite laying down flat? or using OH's arm to get a good turn over? good luck anyways hun.. like other people have said you don't have to much longer to go (and feel like we can say it and mean it lol because were all in the same boat/tub )

I think i've had a bath every night since i found out i was expecting, cant say as its comfortable any more though. I tend to have a wash and shave my bits standing up then my mil bought me a blow up bed thing that goes underneath which seems to help. No idea where she got it from though. sorry! i cant wash my hair in the bath or anything any more though! I dont think you realise how much you use your stomach muscles until your to big to move lol
