Subject : very early signs of miscarriage?

I am 35 and 5 1/2 weeks pregnant for the first time. I hope this doesn't sound stupid, but I know there is a chance of miscarriage, and I have been telling myself that if my breasts are still sore and big, then I'm probably okay. I've partly been doing this so I don't worry too much about it.

But I woke up this morning, and they are much less sore than they have been. I've read that loosing signs of pregnancy is an indicator of miscarriage, and so I'm worried!

I hope you won't mind my asking, but I was wondering if I should be worried, and if there was anything I could do?

any advice would be very welcome.

hi ally, first of all congratulations on your pregnancy. have you had any bleeding?
some people don't have any symptoms and they have a perfectly healthy pregnancy. your breasts might be very sore tomorrow - things can change each day.
if you have had no other signs that anything is going wrong then i'm sure you will be fine.

good luck hun xxx

Hi,
I had a miscarriage early on and I only new when I started bleeding. Even so, sometimes people have heavy bleeding but they still carry on with a normal pregnancy. Sadly it was not my case. Don't worry and just take it easy, rest and try not to stress too much about as unfortunately when a miscarriage starts there is very little anyone can do to stop it.
If you feel cramps and start bleeding go to the A&E.
Good luck to you. xxxxx

Hi hun. I wouldnt worry about it. I had massively sore boobs, that how i knew i was pregnant!! Then one morning they didnt hurt, i was 7 weeks. And then at night i bled a tiny bit aswell. But i went for an early scan and all was good, Aimee is here now 14 weeks old. So please dont worry.
And by the way, as soon as I went for the scan they started hurting again, haha!! xx
Congrats and keep well xx

Thanks so much for your advice! Mrs_e & Alex, I've not had any bleeding, so I'm going to try and just chill. It is really helpful to know that the symptoms can come and go. It is funny that, for the only time in my life, I'm hoping that I am going to feel nauseous! Although I know not everyone does.

SarahNAimee - you really made me feel so much better! I'd love to have an early scan - it is amazing how long the 8 weeks wait is feeling (I'm 10 days into it ;). Aimee is beautiful by the way.

ally xx
