Subject : When does the bleeding stop?

I am sure I am miscarrying have been bleeding very heavily for the last 24 hours. I am 5 weeks pg or was I suppose. I am not in any pain and the doctor says there is a possibility it will be ok but I know in my heart it has gone. How long does the bleeding go on for it is horrible and messy and every time you feel it it breaks you just a little bit more. I am sure there are plenty of you who have been through much worse than this so I am sorry if it sounds trivial. Why is it so cruel Sad

I'm so sorry honey. I lost 4 babies, one as late as 17 weeks and I know it feels like you lose part of your heart at the same time. Has your Doc refferred you for a scan or anything like that, just to make sure?
If you have suffered a MC the bleeding varies from person to person and depends on lots of things so, I'm afraid I can't say for certain. What I can say, though, is you're not alone and there is support out there if you need it.
And there can be light at the end of the tunnell. I lost 4 babies but, I managed to carry a girl to full term in December.

Hi,
I just had a MC at the end of May at 6 weeks and it all happened very quickly. Started bleeding and cramping on Saturday, went to A&E then overnight I was in so much pain I couldn't feel my legs. My hubby called an ambulance but the bleeding was very heavy and it carried on for 3 days. Then became light and spotty and it all ended approx around the second week of June.
I am so sorry for you and I fully understand how you feel. It is cruel and you have all the rights to be angry (I still am!). But don't get discouraged. My hubby and I are trying again and didn't wait for my period as my doc said after a MC so early on you can try immediately. It all depends on you and how you feel about it.
Much love
xxxxx
