Hi girls

Never thought i'd be writing this biut how long should you wait after having a c section before it;s safe to have sex? Docs didn't actually tell me (didn't think i'd feel like it either) And what positions did anyone find the least painful, my scar is still quite sore.

Hi Sukina,

I wasn't given advice on this but found it quite uncomfortable for a while. Be careful though, my lo was just 11 weeks old when I became pregnant again so make sure you are prepared if you are not ready for another baby yet!

i was told to wait for 6 weeks only had baby 2.5 weeks ago and definately not ready yet.

Erm...not sure how long you're supposed to wait but I waited 3 weeks. It was fine and not painful after first few mins. Sorry if this is tmi but I would use lube...can be quite dry/sore after a section. Good luck...after the first time it's just actually finding the time to do the deed...lucky if we manage once a week! x x

I was told to wait 6 weeks

i was told 6 weeks, im 3 weeks now and feel ready though im still bleeding so waiting till thats gone. xx

Hi Suki, we made love after 3 weeks I think.
We both felt ready and I'd more or less stopped bleeding by then.
Plus I read that it was impossible to get pregnant in the first 3 weeks after giving birth. (fingers crossed thats right, but I did make him withdraw at the crucial time, just to be safer)

I do know that you are supposed to wait for a year until getting pg again after a c section, so I'm waiting now for my periods to return so I can start back on the pill again.
