Yes, I have noticed! I have Maddy on there and her grandparents, uncles, aunties and cousins all vote for her. We are a big family but she still only has about 200 votes and we've been voting every day since her pic came up! The only thing I can say is, there was an article in the magazine this month about how Lo's can earn money and they did an interview with a woman who's baby had won the previous years competition. She said that her Lo was selected along with a bunch of other Lo's and they all had to do a test shoot so, the one with the most votes won't necessarily be the one who wins the competition.

Hummmm, I was wondering about this too...my LO (the cutest obviously!) has only 60 odd votes & the top ranking has over a thousand! Well it turns out they have a facebook page & obviously very dedicated family & friends. I'm not that bothered about winning this as to set up a facebook page but I would like to know who is voting! lol!

didnt think to set up a facebook...well i have to say i'm not very good then, i only have a small family and half of them wouldnt have a clue how to use the internet so i put a couple of votes on myself then gave up, harrys only got about 4 as i didnt think there was much point competing against such big numbers!

i saw that article and i remembered the furore over the voting system - the woman was chose as part of the top however many.....
the voting system was flawed last year with cheating going on, and they never seemed to get it sorted.
Was hoping for all of you that this year they would have fixed it but it doesnt seem so. Frown

Sounds like last year, despite so many complaints that some babies votes went up by hundreds overnight, nothing happened.
It was a real shame for so many gorgeous children (including mine). Many times we've been asked if our lo is a model but I've not bothered to do anything as last year left a bit of a bad taste about it all.
The only plus was the picture we have courtesy of comfort pure is beautiful and treasured.
Hope they do sort it out for all those who have entered this year as everyone deserves a fair chance.

Hi all,
Please read all the comments posted on the top 6 rated images in the London Excel competition . You will get detailed responses and comments from people who have been very frustrated and angered by the way this competition has been operated and there is also information as to how votes are being cast in considerably huge volumes practically overnight.

Baby Expert did fix the problem for a short time so that people were only allowed to cast 1 vote per pc as rules indicate, but over the last couple of months they have allowed people to cast multiple votes from the same PC again. If you don't believe me, just sit and observe how quickly the votes will go up for the top 6 candidates, they will get almost 7-10 votes in the space of 1 minute. The top candidates may think that we are just feeling jealous -that they have so many votes....WRONG!!!! It's about the principle that this competition should give everyone a fair and equal chance to have their babies in the top slots. No, not everyone can make the top but at least allow people an equal chance. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what has been happening. There are so many beautiful babies so far down the list that it will be impossible for them to catch up to the top votes.

I just do not understand why Baby Expert have taken this matter so lightly. I understand from reading the blogs that the same problem happened last year. You'd think they would have learnt from their mistakes and rectified it.

For those of you who are genuinely interested in getting you babies into modelling I would suggest that you join a reputable agency and take a chance with them as this competition is clearly now only about the top candidates who already have votes going in thousands.

OMG, I've just checked 'top rated' pics & they are now over 4000! My LO only has 83 votes Sad
Aswell as people clearly rigging the votes somehow, some of my friends & family haven't been able to vote due to problems with cookies on the computers! :o

I agree with Sally 320. I sent pics of Maddy to Urban Angels and she has been invited for a Test Shoot. Fingers crossed!
