I like both, lol.

I live in a little hamlet between two towns, about 40 minutes train journey from London, so I get the best of both worlds really. I can say both ;)

I moved from Machester to the lake district, and have lived here ever since.
I love where i live as its only 20 mins walk from the beach, and only 10 mins walk from the centre of town. My only grumble is its 10 miles to the nearest supermarket so we have to do a bi monthly shop... We grow all our own veg, and are getting chooks too (for eggs till they stop producing then they can be used for meat) so have turned into a real country gal....

I hate the rush and crowds of a city, just doesnt feel like me! And yet i lived in one for 19 years LOL!
We have a lovely house in a culdesac with a big garden and a silly dog, great neighbours and the lake district at our fingers (or at the very least a short bus ride away).

So, in answer to your question, the country Happy

What about you?

its a fab place when the sun is shining, but th lakes are here for a reason LOL!

~I do like being at my dads, and close to chain store shops - i think the only one weve got are boots, woolys, greggs.... the rest are all small posh (Expensive) boutique shops - one had a pair of jeans in a sale and they were still £185!!!!

were quite fortunate in that we do have takeaways that deliver. its a rural town but quite a large town...

we tend to take the dog to the beach so go almost daily, the walk into town to meet my hubby from work.

The in laws live ner lancaster so have always got the chance to go to the city if we need to..

xxx

I was born a city girl but always yearned to be a country girl. I got my wish when I started renting a flat above an old victorian dairy on a farm! The farmer was lovely and, because I showed an interest he let me help out on the farm. I saw calves being born and taught them to drink from buckets and milked their mummy's! I was gutted when I moved away but always swore I would own a cottage in the country one day. My dream came true in 2004 whan I found a little 1 bedroomed cottage in a little village not far from the farm that I could afford. I didn't think I would ever be able to have a baby so, the one bedroom thing didn't bother me. But, a miracle happened and now I have Lo and my cottage sold when I was 8 months pregnant.
I am now back in the city.... boo hoo XXX

I currently live bang smack in the middle of Shrewsbury which drives me batty as I'm on the same road as one of the bigger nightclubs so am often woken at 3/4am when people stagger home. Once the baby's born though I'll move in with my fiance (or husband as he will be then) and he lives in the tiniest Welsh hamlet I've ever known. Looking forward to being able to see fields from my bedroom window again!

Although I now live in the busy holiday maker resort of Blackpool, I am a born & bred country bumpkin Happy
Up until I left home at 18, I lived out in the sticks in a place called Bleasdale. It is all countryside with the nearest town being 7 miles away. Even though I couldn't wait to leave as there's not much to do as a teen, I wouldn't change it for the world as growing up there was perfect. If I had the choice I would probably choose to go back to live in the country some day.
