Hi there,

There's loads of groups around and it's a great place to meet people. I found the mother and tot groups in my area alot better once my little man got to about 1. I found the majority of groups were more aimed at toddlers and pre school age. For me i think it was a great excuse to get out and about and have a good old chin wag with the girls! My little man loved the different toys and mixing with other little people.
What area do you live in? I used to live in Plympton but now I'm in Plymstock. I can recommend some if that area suits you.

Its a soft play centre. there is an area for babies and then a bigger section for slides, ball pools etc for older children. Its gr8 fun altho expensive (£5 for children (under1s go free) and £1.75 for aduts) so when I go there with the other mums I know from other sites we tend to only do it once a month

Hiya mummys,

It was great to see your conversation. I live in plymouth and finding it hard to find a mother and toddler group. I would love for my daughter to have other child to spend time with. All my friends have young babies where as my little one is running around.

What can you recommend a mummy who needs adult conversation while her little girl plays.

cheers

Hi missakura18, I am going to a baby group tomorrow at the Morice Town surestart centre (in Keyham) for the first time. It is just for babies who cant walk and is suppose to be very tranquile and nice for the babies without lots of toddlers running around. My little one doesn't like a lot of noise so hopefully this will be a good group.
