I've just came off Cerazette at the moment as me and my partner have decided to try for a baby. I have heard alot of horror stories about misscarriages and taking years to get pregnant when coming off this pill. If anyone has went through or going through trying to conceive after coming off this pill or any similar pill can you please tell me how long it took for your normal cycle to return?

HI emz1986, i think people are different i come off the pill microgonynon 2 years ago, my cycles are still varying, and im still not pf, but i know many people who have caught very early after being off the pill and some evern caught whilst taking it. I wouldnt worry to much it will only make you stress which can cause your cycle to fluctuate. Ask the women in your family.. they might be able to tell you how long it took them after coming off contraception. Good Luck. xx

hiya Emx1986 I was on cerezette and came off it in December as I knew that my OH and I would be ttc later this year. I only had AF about every 3 months while I was on cerezette so I knew it might take a while to regulate my cycle. The nurse completely agreed and said it could take 6-12 months to regulate. I didn't have a period for about 2 months and actually thought I was pregnant at one point as I had a few symptoms. I have just had my 3rd regular AF and touch wood they are back regular as clock work with a dead on 28 day cycle. The nurse did say to have a least three regular months before ttc (which I've just had my third) but I'm going to Vegas for a wedding in June so I don't want to fall pg before then!! I've never wanted a holiday to come and go so quick!!! lol xxx

Thanks sep2612 and clairelh. The thing really is that with cerazette I didnt take a period until last month then I took one two weeks later. Its been really varied with me, I'm just hoping now that I am now off it I can get my cycle back to normal and conceive as soon as possible

I thought it was great not having periods while on it but then as soon as we started thinking about ttc alarm bells rang cos I thought hang on this could take a while but luckily it hasn't took that long to regulate with me

took cerazette after my LO was born 4 yrs ago. Came off last september and started ttc. My bleed came about week after stopping and had proper length AF 27 days later. Got false positive in october and carried on ttc. MC in dec early on around 4-5 weeks. MC again in March and now pregnant again (around 10 weeks).
Never had many periods whilst on AF and i dont think fact i had 2 mcs had anything to do with being on cerazette, was unfortunately one of those things. Good luck as took me 18mths ttc LO but in total only 6mths after stopping the cerazette(was on microgynon before).

I was on cerazette and was only off it 7 weeks when i got my bfp (had only beed trying for 3 weeks so first time lucky). I ws impatient and didnt wait for af to return.

I came off it 78 days ago, had lots of pg symptoms but no bfp, and as yet no AF, have been docs she said it can take long time for this one to come out of your system and i have to go back in 3 more months if still no af (6 months in total) . I have pcos too which doesnt help. its horrible not being able to try coz no cycle to work with as yet.
