.... you're eldest child is going to his yr 11 prom!! Tristan's prom is tonight - and hes going to look gorgeous - but then I'm biased!! I'll post the pics up on fb at the weekend.
His GCSEs start on monday - eek! (I would have thought it was better to have the prom after the exams but hey ho i'm sure they know what they are doing! )

You know you’re getting old, when you find the ‘in my day’ list gets longer and longer, You find the age your dreading to reach has crept up on you and there’s a new one you dread. Your hair doesn’t do what it used to, your body certainly doesn’t do what it used to, people give up their seat for you (not got there yet, phew? ) , instead of going to family get togethers as a daughter and sister you’ve added wife and mother to the list as well, you have a child to send to bed! You reel off a list of names before you get to the right one for people who you should really know well enough to get right first time around, you’re milk is in the cupboard, teabag in the fridge and mug in the bin! You walk in a room and forget why you’re there. New technology baffles you, sad doesn’t mean sad, gay doesn’t mean gay and if something is wicked it turns out to be a good thing! Your little sister gives you that ‘nevermind you can’t help it because you’re old look!’ and it turns out staying up late isn't fun anymore

I really can't do the going out late anymore, particularly going out drinking and clubbing. Even the thought makes me want to curl up in bed lol! I would much rather go out for a nice meal with friends ... that definately sounds old!

Hmmm... ok I think the following is the true test of whether you are old or not -

- you go to M&S and buy the large shapless dress that has a floral pattern on it similar to the one your Gran used to have on her curtains.
- you have to remember to take your teeth out before you go to bed.
- you smell musty and slightly of pee and don't even care.
- you think a blue rinse sounds like a trendy hair style to go for.
- you sleep in a seperate bed from your hubby because you sleep better that way.
- you have nothing to do all day but decide to do your weekly shopping at lunch time just pee all the office workers off.
- you wake up in your arm chair to find someone holding a mirror infront of your mouth to check you were still breathing.

Now, don't you all feel young! =)

Tristan looked gorgeous and he said it was an 'awesome' night. His girlfriend according to Ophelia, looked like a princess! I'll put some of the pics up on fb tomorrow.... Will pass on your good luck wishes Ali.... though not from 'a crazy woman on BE' as he thinks thats me! x

I always remember when I was at uni going to the end of term ball with my then bf (now hubby!) and a little girl walked passed us on the way to getting a taxi and said to her mum 'mummy is that lady a princess?'!!! Awwwww, I nearly cried I thought it was so sweet!! x

Ahhhh! Princesses, I looked like a drunken wreck as some kind soul spiked my drink and i had to go home at 12.30 after 3 glasses of wine. How gutting!

I didn't go to my grad ball as i was so sick with morning sickness I just couldn't face it.
