ANyone have any suggestions of how i can get Alfie, 6 months, to play by himself? I cant get anything done around the house as he wont just sit and play with all the 1000 toys he has, i have to have him in my arms else he just screams and screams.

My only time is when he is sleeping and then all i do is run around like a headless chicken trying to get everything done, i dont even get a cuppa !!

At this point in time im sat surrounded by crap as i wanted to get online and ask so its a quick one and i better get tidying else the bomb disposal team may think they were too late !!

Cheers x

Hi ya!

Hows the move been? No suggestions really other than if you leave the room keep talking to him or singing etc maybe try having some music on like nursery rhymes to make him feel like he's not alone...failing that get a sling lol! Hope your getting some chance to enjoy the sunshine! xxx

Clingy baby

my twins are 8months now and it gets to the point some days that i feel i need to be split in half and have another set of arms and legs. they have started to learn that what the other one has they want it too and then when they get it they want the next thing that the other one has and so on all day. if one gets a cuddle the other one will want one straight away, if one starts to cry the other one will. tatum she just screams for attention all day and if u dont give it to her you sure know about its. i feel so embarresed to leave my windows open as we live in a road that gets alot of people walking by and acroos from a co-op. so u can imagine what its like when she starts screaming, not to mention if brianna then starts too. i feel brianna is feeling a bit let out cos tatum demands so much attention. they never used to be like this, its only been the last week that tatum has started this constant screaming. i know she is teething but seriously she doesnt need my attention that much does she.................... i have started to just leave her crying, but i get to about ten minutes and i cant take it any longer. some days i will leave it longer and she will go to sleep cos she is tired.
i try to give different toys at different times that helps to keep them occupied for a little bit. say if i want a shower or want to do some coking i will put them in their bouncer cos i know they cant get out or move anywhere and they love it so it means i can have a shower in piece and just leave the door open to keep an eye on them. i brought the baby einstine dvd box collection and its fab, if i want to rush about the house and they are grissly i put one of them on its normally a miricle worker for about 10minutes or so until they get bored i turn it off spend some time with them and try it again , normally work and i rush about the house again. but this has only been for the last week, normally they are pretty good. i think its due to coming back from seeing my parents in australia and they havent adjusted to only having mummy all day again instead of 5 or 6 people at once...
i find talking alot helps and singing, my girls love it when i sing, and some times if i need to get cleaning done i will put them in there swing chairs and they play and i talk and sing to them and they can see what i am doing...
