Is it ok to give my 8 month old Philadelphia cheese? I get so confused with what you can and can't give them. He is doing so well with weaning and has a large lunch and was hoping to start giving him sandwiches for tea. What other fillings are good at this age?

I use dairylea spread but philadelphia is fine too as it is pasturised and no risk of listeria. Also plain jam, if your worried about the sugar content you could use daibetic jam with reduced or no sugar. x

this may sound weird but sandwiches i would spread egg, make a hard boiled egg cool it down, mash it up add a little milk. makes a loverly sandwich and a great way to get them to eat eggs. i read somewhere the other day that u can give peanut butter on sandwich from i think 6 or 8months, the smoothe one of course, but i would double check on that.
i add philadelphia into my girls food if i think its a bit bland. advacardo is another good one to spread.
