Gracie's not been too bad...she's prob sleeping just the same but one thing i have noticed is that she's not fussed for a full 7oz feed, has about 4oz. Guzzles her mush down tho so not off that! If she's not had a sleep b4 tea she cries when having her mush then has to sleep b4 bedtime. Otherwise she stays up till bedtime relatively fuss-free.
Btw, love the new pic, he looks to have a lot of hair!

Fin hasn't been too bad, guzzling lots of water from beaker though, can't seem to cool his room down - it seems to be hottest room in house so tonight just put him short sleeved body suit and bag see how he is...

Coles not liking the heat so much, he's not always fussed about having milk and he's scratching his tummy so its either the rash or eczema bothering him..have to keep a vest on him! He was quite happy in my parents garden under the gazebo later htis afternoon though.

He's upstairs asleep in a vest and babygrow with all the windows open and the fan on and its hot in his room!! Just bought 2 for £20 1 tog sleeping bags off ebay though Happy

Holly - have you tried saline drops for the nose?

I'm trying to get Cole used to water but he's not really impressed.. the faces he pulls are funny but i think i'm gonna have to try putting a bit of juice in so he will drink it

Holly - Fin had lots of blocked noses a while ago... but something under head end of cot, i used next cats and argos etc... so he's on a slant this helps a lot! also snuffel rub for babies - like vick either on his chest before bed or rub it on bib or something and place top of cot or somewhere close by that he can't reach.. i resorted to putting adult vick in bowl of boiling water in his room aswell! fresh air usually helps so would have said open window a bit but if it's hayfever this could make it worse!!! i tried drops but he hated them as well as the syringe thing that quite litrally sucks snot out of nose... i got a bit addicted to doing this... poor fin!!!
anyway hope he's not suffering too much and it will pass in few days when weather changes!

Kia - the water thing Fin has pulled some funny faces and it all ended up down him not in mouth but just kept giving it too him even if he ended up wet, monday he seemed to master it as i think he was sooo thirsty he glugged it down, i had to help tip it up as he holds it but nothing coes out! i was going to try juice but now he seems ok with water going to stick with it!

it's the tommee tipee 4months+ one its small so not too big and heavy has two handels... it doesn't really leak (a trickle sometimes) but he seems to get it out... it has taken from week 16 and he's 22 now to get him used to it!
wait until you know he'd be thirst - when your out and about then just tip it slightly in his mouth don't worry bout him holding it yet, only let it sort of drip then he'll get used to it and then let him try a bit more... it will end up down him but its only water eventually you'll see him sctually swallow it rather than it just wetting there lips! he'll get it eventually, at least if he has a dry mouth he can just dampen his lips!

don't know if i should have but today i was eating grapes and i put a cold one on fins gums to stuck as he was sooo hot and then i bit then end off so there was a bit of juice, he sucked it bless him and seemed to like it... then he just had it on his gums i was holding it the whole time!

Rhys has been really grumpy last few days and his poor eyes are irritating him so much.

Rhys loves drinking out of his cup and even tries holding it now too. I was eating some watermelon today and Rhys had a good suck on that. He loved it ha ha

Hi Emalenna - Charlotte's not on solids yet either (coming up to 5 months on Friday). The hv said we could try her on some baby rice because she hasn't been as keen on her daytime feeds (breast feeds) recently but she isn't showing any other signs of being hungry so I'm going to hold off for a bit. She's still gaining weight and is around the 95th percentile for weight and 99th for height so there's definitely no worry that she isn't getting enough!

Sam is really grouchy in the heat. I have just had him in a vest over the last couple of days. He doesn't seem off his food though. He is napping more during the day but only for 30 mins at a time.

Holly - have you tried baby olbas? I found that brilliant along with lifting the cot legs like Charlotte suggested.

rhys is extremely snuffly having to keep him indoors with windows shut as much as possible. not good for me I want to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air.

The only way Rhys will settle today is in his swing. Poor thing just in his vest but he's so hot and sweaty. Thinking of investing in a fan to keep house cool cause it's like a furness. feels like the heating is on constantly.
