Subject : what if it happens again

when i say this is my first pregnacy, that is hopefully my first full term one. i was ruched to hospital with a ruptured eptopic about 5 and a half years ago. my sister has had one and so has my mum. although i've only just got a positive result, the doctor's are booking me in for a six week scan to make sure it's in the right place!!!!! i know no-one has a crystal ball(hell i'd ask for the lottery numbers) but any advice?? My partner's great but I'm still worried and don't want to worry him. Frown

It's SO hard to be positive when something like that's happened to you in the past, isn't it? I had a miscarriage about 6 years ago, & when I got pregnant this time round (am now 34wks) I was convinced the same thing would happen again. I found it difficult to be happy & hopeful about the baby, & kept telling my husband not to get too excited. We decided not to tell anyone until we'd had the first scan at 12wks, but the time seemed to go so slowly, it was awful keeping such a big secret to ourselves.
I know it's easier said than done, but try to think positive & happy thoughts. All the very best for a healthy pregnancy!

hi love,it must be very worrying time for you.
hope this helps ease your mind a little, when my mum was goung(27yrs ago, long time.lol) she had a late eptopic discoveres and was very ill, she lost her ovary, tube and just about 1/4 of her womb, she was told she would never concieve due to a badly damaged other tube however 5 years later she concieved twins and carried us until 45 weeks with an incomplete womb, she also went on to have my younger half sister, so she went on to have two healthy pregnancy. Goodluck and congratulations.
