Im scared too hun im on my second my first is going to be 21 months when my next daughter arrives and im soo nervous im 33weeks today ive posted about this too their are alot of sympathetic ladies out there who give really good advise it all comes down to the same thing tho try not to let it stress you out and just keep thinking of that baby at the end of it, i know thats easier said than done im trying soo hard to but it still doesnt stop you being scared lol. Have you spoken to your mw about your concerns i cried my eyes out the last time i saw her as im soo worried she has arranged a home visit for me so we can sit for a while and discuss all my worries and options this may help, not sure if your md's offer this but you could ask Sophie 33wks today xx

Hi Selina83 is there any reason why you are so scared? What were your first 2 labours like? I also had my 3rd when my 1st 2 were 4 and nearly 6 and it has all been totally brilliant. I had the most fantastic home water birth after 2 awful forceps deliveries and my boys adore their little sister so much. They love playing with her and come in really useful now that she is 11 months to play with her while I make tea. They are also great at getting nappies etc. I hope that gives you some encouragement.xx

Hi sbradley1985 - there is 20 months between my first 2 - I think it is a brilliant age difference as the oldest was too young to get jealous and they are so close now (both boys are yours both girls?). I honestly don't remember it being that tough - I think the 1st is the hardest and although you might have some stressful times it will soon end and be worth it. Just try and enjoy them both - they grow up too fast! xx

Are you worried because you know what to expect? I worried more with my 2nd but that was such a quick labour that my worry for number 3 was that i wouldn't make it to the hospital on time!
If you had a bad experience with 1 or 2 then it doesn't mean you will have a bad experience again and these babies have to come out somehow, good or bad. I knew how bad the pain would be (had gas and air for all 3) but I also knew how so very worth it they are!

hi. i had my 5th baby 9 months ago. and i was not so much as scared but not looking forward to what was to come. when the first contraction hit i was thinking oh my god. i think tha more you have the more you are so aware of what you will have to go through and you get to know too much after 5 babies!!!!!. hope all goes ok for you. try not to worry too much, not be long before you are holding that lovely bundle in your arms. xxxxx

Aw, bless you.
Im gate crashing a bit here as not pregnant yet but have got a 6month old. My labour was not pleasant & had to have forceps to deliver her, but all i can really remember about it is what a wonderful experience it was. I know it hurts like mad but the more tense you are the more likely you are to have problems. There is no point worrying about it as its something which you will not be able to avoid, start thinking about it positivly from now on & you may even enjoy it!!

Hey,i have just had my 3rd baby and like you was so,so,so scared!! My 1st baby was a normal 8hr delivery,no stitches, cuts or grazes!! My 2nd was a nightmare 22hrs,he got stuck with what they call shoulder dystocia and it was a bit of a life or death situation. I had a 3rd degree tear and tore inside as well!! So 3rd time round i was absolutely petrified!! However my 3rd labour was 5hrs,no pain relief and was the best labour i had so far. I tore a tiny bit so needed a couple of stitches but that was because my old tear was still quite weak. All i can say is if you go into it being confident and truely believing that it will be fine then your body will relax and work for you. I know that is hard to believe when you are so scared but that was what everyone kept saying to me and once i finally got into labour i did and i became really focused and it really was a very positive labour that i have happy memories of. Good luck!! xxx

Oh ladies im sorry to hear you are worried. I think the labour bit was the best bit of my pregnancy, i would happily give birth every day but being pregnant was a nightmare for me! I had high blood pressure, low amniotic fluid, heavy bleeding, sevear migraine, pregnancy rash, bad morning sickness and much more! Im scared to get pregnant again but really want more kids soon.x
