hi everyone - just thought i'd add my thoughts - I had a Vectra estate and really strugled with 3 car seats in the back, they went in, but only after a struggle and didn't really fit properly. My wife has the new version of the renault scenic and this is a fab car for the child seats. It fits 3 in comfortably and because of the ingenious way the seat belts fasten it's easy for the kids and us to to put the seat belts on.
Because my wife now has the scenic, I recently followed my heart and bought a jaguar s type - the seats are harder to fit in to this than the vectra, but I when I was reading up on which seats to fit I ws leaed to ready the following from the 2006 law that came in
"If a car has 3 seat belts in the rear, and 2 occupied child
seats or boosters prevent the fi tting of a third, a third child
3 years or over may then use an adult belt. If there is room,
it would be safer for the third child to travel in the front
seat and use the correct child seat or booster."
hope this helps.

One thing I would add, is check the length of the middle seatbelt, as I've got a 02 reg Renault Scenic and my middle seat belt is not as long as the side ones, and I can't fit my rear facing silvercross car seat in the middle.

I only have the one child but wanted to say we have a citroen picasso (older style 56 plate - not the C4 one) and we have 3 individual seats in back. we have had baby plus two not very small adults in back with plenty of room so can't see why you couldn't get three seats in back. we love our car - it's our 2nd one and would def get another next time too. it is the best value mpv out there if you have to get one, it runs like a dream, so economical, cheap insurance and less than a ford focus or something like that but huge - bigger or better use of space than c-max, almera tino, scenic etc.

Hi
My best friend Martha is expecting her third child and she constantly asks everyone she meets if they know of a family car which is able to safely accommodate three child seats in the rear.
No one could give her any help until someone suggested she should look at a new product: three or four integrated child car seats that will fit into virtually any family car or estate.
The multimac
* Accommodates children from 0-12 years (no need to upgrade for different groups)
* New concept in child car seat safety
* Energy absorbing design makes it one of the safest child car seats available
Martha is really excited because her husband doesn't have to trade in his beloved bmw for an mpv and the same multimac once purchased will provide safe travel for all her children in the family car throughout the whole time that they require a car seat.
Click here: http://www.multimac.co.uk/car_seat_range for more information on the three or four integrated child car seats.
They are available now through the above web link
Regards
George
