Subject : Clearblue Monitor Clan !!!
Hi girlies,
I'm on Month 7 now. My oh is going for a sperm test tomorrow and i'm going to docs on thurs - i know its only month 7 but i'm 33 and i feel i haven't got any time to waste.
Anyway, i thought i'd get myself a clearblue monitor to see if this does the trick!!
I'm on CD 4 and have set it all up - just wondered - is anyone using one or got pg when using one??

Hi Nat, not using one so Im afraid I cant help there, but I was looking at one today in Boots (is it the digital ov tester you mean or have I just got my wires crossed?). I put it back again 'cos of the price (!) but promissed myself that if af shows up on 1st March then I will treat myself to one. Might be cheeky now and wait and see what you think of it first! lol! Good luck hun xx

Hi Maille,
It helps you to detect the best days to bd in order to conceive. You set the monitor on day 1 then from day 6 it tells you to test - poas & put it in monitor - to detect when you're ov - it will then tell you the most fertile days of your cycle so you know when to bd!
It has a really good success rating but it is quite expensive.

Hey Nat74!
I am currently on month 6 of ttc. I have my CB monitor all lined up for next month if things don't happen for me this month...I'm actually quite excited about using it, LOL!
I'm 36 and ttc my 1st, so thought I'd better not waste any more time either! Off for my day21 blood test this month too to check all my levels are okay before my poor hubby gets dragged along for checks, much to his disgust!!
Would love to hear how you get on with it, and I'll come back and let you know how I find it if I get to use it, although kinda hoping I won't have too....!!
Good luck!

Hi powderpuff
It's called a clearblue monitor - not sure if its the same as the digital ov tester?? The RRP is £99.99 but i got mine on ebay for £56 so that's not bad.
I was going to get one last month but then didn't & then thought i'd go for it this month. Will let you know how i go with it! Nat x

Hi posy1971
I'm quite excited about using it too!! Good luck with your blood tests!!
My oh is gonna do a sperm sample tomorrow & i've got to rush it down to the hospital within an hour - the nurse apparently told him to put it either down my bra or under his /my arm pit to keep it warm!! LOL!!
I'll let you know how I go with it!

Hi hope I can offer some advice on this subject,
The Clear Blue Monitor is fantastic, it really takes the pressure away from knowing when the best time to bd is! It's so easy to use and once you've paid for the monitor itself the cost isn't so bad. Generally you use 20 test sticks in the first month and then once the monitor gets used to your cycles you only need 10 tests sticks. £10 a month is a small price to pay for that BFP!
I was using mine for 4 months before I got my BFP. To be honest we were unable to bd at the right time some of those months as my oh works away from home. The month I fell pregnant we'd only had sex twice, once when the monitor said low and once when it was high, (it reccomends bding at least twice during high and peak days). When I did test I really couldn't believe we'd done it.
I'm afraid my story doesn't have such a happy ending as I had a mmc on Christmas eve, but we are trying again and if we are not successful this month then my friend the CBFM will be brought out of redundancy once again!
Just a note of caution, if you are going to purchase one from ebay make sure it has not been used before as the instructions reccomend not to share a monitor as it can give you false readings.
Hope that this is a help to you girls, if you have anymore questions just ask. Hopefully we should be getting some BFP's very soon. xxx

Hi little m - hope that you get your BFP or BGP so you don't need to use it!!
Hi shrewpin, thanks for the advice! Am looking forward to using it! Hopefully i'll get my BFP soon. I did buy my monitor from someone from ebay but have re-set the monitor so all the previous info has been wiped.
Good luck! x

Im using one for the first time this month.I brought mine from boots as wanted the free Preggers test and Advantage Card points.
It's really easy to use once you get your head round the instruction booklet!!!
I think that they just put that about not being used by two people so they sell more.
If i EVER get PG my friend has 1st dibs on mine! Why not share?
We've been trying for 14months now and ive also taking Clomid which i started this month. It does say on the instructions that it can be affected by people taking Clomid but i didnt know that when i brought it! Opps!
GP say's it wont matter and they are just covering there backs.
Sending you all lots of Babydust
Clarins xx

Att Posy1971,Hi,I'm the same age as yourself(36) and am now 10 weeks pregnant. I bought the Clearblue monitor and only needed to use it one month. I got mine from e-bay (brand new) for around £65. Money well spent!

Wow Brook 53 - Great news!
That has given me hope and inspiration if I don't get my BFP this month!
I bought mine brand new off eBay with 20 sticks for about £75 all in, not too bad. And like you say, money well spent as it's suppose to increase your chances by up to 89%!
Thanks for that : )

Been using the monitor this month - 1st month using it but month 7 ttc.
It's been really easy to use & its great seeing the 3 bars & the little egg come up during peak fertility!!! V Exciting!!
I'm on CD18, had peak fertility on day 16, 17 & am now down to high fertility - i did the normal OPK's aswell as the monitor as had a few spare & the OPK showed positive on day 14, 15 but got peak fertility on monitor on days 16, 17 so i think i've been couple of days out.
If you're thinking of getting one i'd say go for it!!! I'm starting my 2ww now so fingers crossed!!!
Hi natw28 - you can pee in a cup & keep it at room temperature rather than holding your pee in!!! Then when the monitor is ready you dip stick in for 15 secs. Might be easier....I am always desperate to go for a pee in the morning so don't think i could hold it!!
Good luck!!! XX

Hi Nat74,
I started using mine this month as AF arrived last Wednesday, so on day 6 now and very excited!
I think it will also satisfy my urge to poas with any luck and stop me testing too early!
Natw28 - my timeframe to test is a bit out too but I'm peeing in to a cup and saving it for an hour until the day changes up
Oh really hope it works for us all without too much delay!!
If it does I can pass mine on to my sis-in-law. She very sadly suffered a m/c yesterday at 11+1 - so I will gladly let her have it if it works for me...
Good luck girls!

I am on day 13 had high fertility every day but just waiting for that peak fertility to show and its game on... I love only having to POAS first thing and not same time every day as its a nightmare... so lets have the clearblue BFP club and see if they are worth the money we have shelled out good luck all xxx
