Subject : Anyone got a child with toddler diorohea?

Hi my son Tommy is quite a pooley boy and spends alot of time up and down to the hospital and doctors!

He has been dignosed with something called toddlers diorohea (sorry about the spelling)

Which means his poo is very very smelly, loose and the like rabbit poo.

Just wondered if anyone else had a child like Tommy

Would love any hints or tips please

Hi Lamlamuk- guessing you mean your son is 14 months old?
Toddler diarrhoea is a recognised condition but unfortunately there is no treatment- it tends to clear up on it's own but can last months & months. Big problem can be stopping their bottom from getting sore (good barrier & change as soon as poo'd) but it won't make the child unwell.
hope it improves soon.

hi, i know i'm a bit late on this but my daughter has toddler diarrhoea. she has had it from about 19 months and still has it now (turns 3 nest week) we found changing things in her diet helped but when she was just over 2 we asked paeditrician for help as bum was always sore plus she was showing signs of wanting to use potty but diarrheoa was a problem. she prescribed imodium syrup which at first was given 3 times a day. in last couple of months we have been giving it her once every other day and have managed to control it that way and get her potty trained. we've tried not giving her the imodium but it flares up again fully so we just controlling it the way were going.
