Subject : Sasmar conceive plus - anyone tried it?

Hello ladies,

This is my first post in the TTC forum (I'm originally from YAWY and the planning forum here) so I'd just like to say hello first of all - we had originally planned to start trying in January but last night my husband finally gave in (for which I do feel a bit guilty about!) and said we can start now.

I came off the pill about two months ago and I've recently started taking folic acid so it works out well. I've also bought ovulation sticks to work my cycle out - guess I get to use them for real though! Funnily enough, I'm due to ovulate in about 5 days I think so that works out remarkably well in terms of timing.

I get really caught up in things like this so I'm going to try not to post too much, and to try and keep my sanity in check, but I look forward to chatting with you all! I don't have anyone around my at home who I can tell that we're trying so this will be a great outlet.

But anyway, enough babbling! I had previously eyed up pre-seed to use as a sperm friendly lubricant (sorry tmi!) but I realised we weren't likely to get it in time so popped out to boots earlier and they have something new called Sasmar - Conceive plus. I was just wondering if anyone had used it, and if so how did they find it? I bought some and it sounds exactly what we need so I'm thrilled that I don't have to order preseed online!

K xx

Hi MrsKP

I've seen it in Boots too but had already bought my preseed.

Cos I am nosy I've just looked at it on the Boots website

http://www.boots.com/en/Sasmar-Conceive-Plus-75ml_981288/

the review of it sounds good. I think in reality that all these lubricants are much of a muchness. The conceive plus people do say though that their product promotes egg fertilisation because it contains calcium and magnesium ions, which are apparently important. But both lubricants aid sperm motility.

You'll have to let us know how you get on with it!

Hi MrsKP- I am thinking of buying Sasmar conceive plus... bit expensive but it sounds really good.

Hope it works for you and you get your bfp soon!

Hi everyone, thanks for your replies! It was quite expensive but I thought that when you add delivery etc onto preseed it comes to pretty much the same price. I also like the fact that it's just a tube, no applicators etc - I found the idea of applicators a bit weird!

I will definitely let you know how I get on with it, we tend to use play lubricant anyway so we kinda needed something that you can use whilst ttc.

K xx
