Subject : 5 month old starting to wake in the night again!!!

My ds started sleeping through from 7-7 from about 2 months old , however the last few weeks he is waking between once to three times a night and it takes us anything from 2-10 attempts at getting him back to sleep. It seems to be getting worse and wondered if anyone else had this experience and any advice. He was weaned at 17 weeks because of reflux however, last week the dr told me to only give him 4oz of milk before his solids. This helped his sickiness initially but now we are back to where we were. Could he be waking for food? Should i give him a feed at 10?

His feeds are as follows:

7am - 4oz and cereal
11am 40z and veg/fruit puree
3pm - 7oz
6pm - 4oz and beg/fruit puree

Total of 19oz of milk.

I tried going cold turkey on the dummy but it was a nightmare getting him to sleep at 7, he would just cry and cry and cry so i gave in!

Can anyone help me please??!

Thanks xxx

I would try swapping his meals and bottles. Maybe he needs more solids to go longer at night but is filling up on milk to much to take more. And possibly add a small snack at 3 or increase his bottle if he will take it.

I don't know what to suggest about the dummy as mine never had. They prefered there fingers and thumbs.

i would give milk separate to solids.

My lo is 6months

7-8am 8oz bottle
9am Breakfast
11.00 bottle 4oz
12.30 Lunch
3.00 bottle 4oz
5.00 tea
7pm bottle 8oz

This lasts him 12 hours.

Thanks guys, your posts really helped, i think i might try spreading out the milk feeds separately from the solids to try and get more milk in and fingers crossed after that!

Thanks again xxx
