Im now nearly a week overdue,been getting cramps had a show been sick,cramp in legs, sore back but still not gone into labour,im now starting to feel sorry for myself. I have another sweep tommorow but i feel like im never going to have this baby. Ive tried everything ....trust me!!!!! I really do not want to be induced but its looking like ill have to. sorry for the rant, but im so low i could cry.

Oh sweet.. hopefully another sweep tomorrow will bring on some action for you. I know what you mean about the not wanting to be induced... I too don't want this but am not allowing myself to think of it just yet since Im only 39+5 but the closer I get the harder it does become to ignore it as a possibility.

Try to keep positive, you do still have time for things to move along naturally. And just think, bubs will be here within a week so it won't be forever..

thanks sim, just feeling sorry for myself, starting to get anxious about the baby too, just want to know its ok. Getting induced thursday so we'll see.....

Your baby will be fine hon, you have just created such a comfy environment in there!!
But you have had some good signs with getting cramps, a show, sickness, cramps, sore back .... that is quite a few indicators! Perhaps tomorrow's sweep will be the final clincher for your bubba to let go and come meet you

Try and stay positive I know it's hard especially when you're feeling like pooh, hopefully your LO will get a move on before Thursday.

hi, with my first lo i was 8 days overdue and had no signs of her arriving. i had a sweep and had her the next day so she was 9 days late. don't worry about being induced yet with the signs you are having already the sweep with probably start you off. take care xx

Ah bless you, I don't blame you for feeling low. I am getting impatient now myself, so if I am still on here this time next week I am sure my posts will be pretty much the same (in fact if I remember rightly I posted one last week!!).

Plenty of signs to say it's not gonna be too much longer, hopefully the sweep tomorrow will do it for you.

I've had my o/h's mother telling me today to take castor oil and andrews liver salts today which is meant to move things. But I rang my mum and she said NOOOOOOOO the baby will only come when it's ready. Which is exactly right. So now I have o/h in a bit of a strop coz I am listening to my mother and not his!!! Can't win. So I daren't complain about being fed up anymore or i'll just get "you should have listened to my mother!"

Good luck for tomorrow anyway hopefully your sweep will get things moving!

My mum arrived today from oz. She too is now harping on me for it to happen.. what can you do to make it happen.. search the internet and find out! Ah mum.. I explain... I know it all from my forum and trying it all! But bubs will come when he is ready

She also mentioned the castor oil (she had to take that to get me moving and i was 3 wks late back in those days!! ). I cant take the stuff as I only remember it being in the medicine cabinet as a child and mum always threatening to make us have it if we were naughty

Tried pineapple today and it send Brody ape. Anyone else noticed this? But all is quiet again. Ho hum..!

Might be time to start listening to my hypno induction download when i go to sleep...

Now that my mum is here and there are no more "you need to wait for ...." Im feeling rather elated / nervous but in a good way. It's just more real now that he can really come at any time and I could be holding a baby tomorrow! (Or in 2 weeks !! )

oh bless you - i bet when you go in for aweep they say your 1/2cms dilated already - think this is quite common and then they do what they do and hopefully baby will make an apprearance for you with the next 48hours!

if i go over i known i will be sooooo stressed and fed up - was a week early with last one!

oh apprently your not supposed to take caster oil as can distress baby!

I know exactly how you feel hun. I'm 5 days overdue now and starting to feel really fed up and teary. It comes in waves for me, most of the time I'm feeling ok about it, almost philosophical, but then it hits me and I can't stop crying. I just want to meet my baby now and as I have to go back to work reasonably early I just keep thinking that every day I am sat here without a baby and not at work is such a waste of time.

Plus everyone keeps saying you still here to me and I'm getting really fed up of that. It's such a stupid thing to say as even after the baby is born I'll still be here!!!!!!!!!! My Mum is texting me daily telling me where she is in case I need to get hold of her. I know everyone is just excited and looking forward to us having the baby but can't people think about me for 5 minutes? :(

I'm not having a sweep until Thursday when I'll be 8 days over! Oh and I'm dreading the thought of being induced, I really want things to start naturally.
