Subject : Do cheapo ov sticks work?? Help!

Hi girls,

We are currently ttc and I am hoping this month we might be successful :D
I have bought some cheapo ovulation sticks from the internet (was trying not to get into all the POAS so soon!) and I am not sure they work?

According to a fertility website someone on here mentioned I should be ovulating like now, well the blooming sticks are not showing it! I am sure I have done 'it' right lol!! Wink

Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on these cheapo ones.

Love Mrs H xxx

Hi Mrs H,

i used ebay ov sticks and they half worked. They definitely got darker near to my surge and matched up with my ov pains and bbt charting BUT I never got a line darker than or equal to the control like it said on the instructions. After a couple of cycles I got used to how dark they should be for me if you know what I mean.

I know lots of girls who have said the same so just don't get too stressed if you never get a really dark line as clearly i do ovulate as I am 6 + 2 today!

Good luck

CJ x

impatience is a killer isn't it?

I used OV strips for the first time last month, and got a complete positive on CD19.

I have a 32day cycle so assumed i'd OV around day 16 and was gutted when I didn't get a +ve test....but I kept testing and got a +ve on CD 19 which just goes to show I OVd later then I thought I did (so thank god for using them).

I am on CD19 today and no +ve so far but I am getting digging pains on left side in the ovary area so who knows!

I would say persevre for a few months chick :-))

xx
