What sort is it? Labour tens and regular type work differently. I used mama tens for early labour and it worked great. Depends if you want it for labour, back pain or both?

Would you say they are worth using then?

TENS machine

I used a tens machine in early labour and it was great. It really helped with the back pains to a certain extent. I used it until 6cm when I was transferred to a water bath.
Most of the ones sold in chemists aren't for labour so check first. I rented mine as you can get a better make for the money and it comes with all the spare electrodes, batteries etc.

Good luck,
H xx
